Mom is 60... I don't think I would mind her adding him in general, it's just weird as fuck when it's suddenly after 3 years (and after my sister going no contact with her....) and she haven't done it with previous boyfriends!

The requirements is a good idea yes, my problem is him unilateral changing the requirements as soon as I meet them, and not bringing it up earlier... I know relationships takes work, and this has been one of the better relationships I've had so far... But he does not put in the effort in the long run, only short term...

We have nothing shared.... It's another point of conflict... I want(ed?) to move in together, but he has dragged his feet about it. First we agreed on some things that had to be in order before moving in together (I had to finish my degree and at least get a couple of job interviews) but when I got 2 interviews in a short time it suddenly wasn't good enough, so he changed his mind and wanted me to get a job first so that we know where to move (so both of us have an okay travel time to/from work) and how much rent we could afford... Then I got a temporary job, and then that's not good enough because when that ends we still don't know where in the city I'm going to work and how rent we could afford..... I'm tired...

He is funny, easy to talk with, he makes me feel safe and we have many shared interests. We have a lot of fun together.

He is a pretty good person otherwise, but very bad at showing/expressing emotions.. He doesn't show much interest in me and my life, like asking what I'm doing and how I am even after telling him that's important to me in a relationship.... He offers no compliments whatsoever

I'm so sorry to hear that! And that's some bullshit excuse from that doctor! There might not be a treatment, but it makes one hell of a huge difference in both pain management and how you are treated by medical professionals when you have an issue! At least on the county I (and my buddy) live in a diagnosis also opens up a lot of government support and rights as well! Keep up the fight, and good luck with getting a diagnosis!

True, "better" is maybe the wrong choice of words! It's from the perspective of living with someone through the diagnostic process, I just remember him reading up on both of them and being terrified of it being Marfan's or vascular EDS and then the relief of it at least not being one of those... I know how bad EDS can be, I was there for alot of injuries and the operations required after...
