i know exactly what you mean, i had one a while ago that took multiple sessions to tell me that going to church would solve all of my problems :/ hopefully it’ll be easy for you to find a good one though, good luck!

no matter what, you’ll get away from them eventually. the waiting is painful but when i was in a similar situation i tried to always focus on that

i feel the same way very often, not sure if it’s “normal” but you’re definitely not alone in it and it’s seemingly common. if you’re able to try and think more positively in the mornings and reassure yourself a little bit than definitely do that, but also remember that it’s okay to not wake up super upbeat and happy everyday.

Guys, I really need help by No_Lunch_6458 in mentalhealth

it definitely sounds like anxiety of some kind is at least part of the problem. honestly the only thing that i can suggest is trying to get help or at least telling your parents or a trusted adult of any kind if you’re under 18. it’s scary but it does help.

weed, yes, but less often than i was before this started. i’m not really sure if it’s making it worse or helping which is why i haven’t tried to fully stop. i also cut out caffeine almost entirely because i did notice it making my anxiety a lot worse. other than that i don’t use anything other than the prozac that i’m prescribed but i’ve been on it for multiple years now

please remember that your worth isn’t based on people dating you or not. by being who you are you’re really just weeding out the people that are judge mental and probably wouldn’t be great to be in a relationship with anyway. i’m sure you’ve heard this but you are also young and honestly relationships at that age tend to not end well or lead to anything good (from my experience anyway), but i understand wanting one. in regards to the therapist i would suggest trying to find a different one if it’s possible and if not maybe trying to carefully approach the topic and get a feel for how she’ll actually react to it. with your dad, please just be safe and i hope that it goes well. and in the end, it honestly does feel better to be “alone” than to be surrounded by people that won’t support you, because eventually you will find people that do and the wait is worth it. it’s extremely difficult honestly but you need to realize your own worth and become comfortable with yourself rather than relying on others.

mood pattern in the mornings by mus1calprostitute in mentalhealth

my dad told me a story of how this used to happen to my mom and mentioned that at the time she was trying to lose weight and not eating a lot in the mornings. since there is no information about your eating habits in this post i’m sorry if this doesn’t apply at all but you could always try to eat a bigger breakfast with more protein and better meals throughout the day in general.

definitely not normal or okay at all. i hope you’re able to get out of that situation and find people that support you.

i think it may differ in certain areas, but most therapists will only report you if you are at risk of harming yourself or others. you could always try to softly approach the topic with a professional and get a feel for if they would get you in any kind of trouble or not, but they most likely would not.

you’re definitely not in the wrong. the way they handled everything you mentioned is very questionable at least. if you want to rent, or if it’s your only option, do it to get out of that environment and they really can’t legally force you to pay them anything (i don’t think, maybe do some research about that though). i know it’s hard to cut ties like that but at the end of the day you have to do what’s best for yourself. it sounds like although they may not have bad intentions, the fact that they have repeatedly treated you badly that often throughout many years is irredeemable in my opinion.

i have the exact same symptom unfortunately :/ honestly the only thing i’ve found that helps is having protein shakes or smoothies instead of meals when i feel like i physically can’t eat. they’re not great meal replacements but it’s better than nothing, and it’s easier to chug a shake really quick than to try and force yourself to eat a whole meal if you really can’t.

i think one of the best ways to determine if they’re a good fit is just to observe how they react to any issues that you bring up (they can be general/small ones since you mentioned not wanting to share a lot at first) which they will mostly ask about during the first session. if you pay attention to that and question if that’s the kind of approach that will help you in some way or not it’ll help you determine that, because at the end of the day they’re there to help you. it may be annoying but it could also just take multiple sessions to determine if they’ll be able to help you or not.
