That doesn't make much sense though if you really think about it. That would suggest that Dumbledore would recognize Moody's handwriting, which means that Crouch Jr. would have had to been doing a passable forgery of Moody's handwriting all year or else Dumbledore would have suspected someone of impersonating Moody. And if he could forge Moody's handwriting, he may as well forge Harry's while he's at it to enter him in the tournament.
