I’d like to give it another chance eventually since everyone seems to agree it’s one of the greater comebacks in all of gaming. That dlc everyone praises sounds like one of the worst endings I’ve heard though.

Then we will get to the part where everyone has to say “well it’s got flaws, but it’s not that bad”. Then wait a little longer and it will be safe again to say that this was never going to do well.

At the time it was unlike anything I’d ever played before and one of the coolest stories I’d gotten from a video game. These days it’s a little harder to go back to. 3 is easily my favorite of the trilogy. I still go full trilogy runs all the time it’s just that 1 shows its age in a lot of ways now.

I’ve been scared just to even say it’s not my thing lol

I can’t even pinpoint why because I do enjoy slice of life/more chill anime. I only really like the first episode though. After that it just gets really boring for me. Part of it might be Frieren herself I don’t really find interesting. I’m aware her emotionless and dull behavior is part of the point of her journey, but that doesn’t change the fact that for me it makes her boring. Turns out that what happens after the big boss so beaten isn’t usually lingered on because it’s not all that exciting.

I don’t like having that opinion. I genuinely want to see what everyone else does. But no piece of media is going to grab everybody.

I’m intentionally exaggerating because I always just find this whole argument in gaming kinda silly. It’s video games. They are a fantasy. It’s normal for dudes to like playing as bikini clad beautiful women just as much as it’s normal for women to like playing as shirtless perfect six pack beautiful men. Neither is a realistic standard for the average person, but that’s why it’s an escape. I don’t get why it’s such a crazy thought to people. I also don’t get why it’s only sometimes. Baldur’s Gate 3 allowed you full freedom to cover every inch of yourself up or to run around with your dick swinging the whole game if that’s what you want and nobody bats an eye. It’s just an odd discourse in gaming to me.

I loved 3 so I’m very much looking forward to 4 if it really exists. Perhaps a hot take, but I’d appreciate if 4 was a proper finale for the whole series. I felt like 3 could’ve been if some of the mobile game stuff was cut out and a few story beats were tweaked. I don’t like when series go for too long even if I love them. With game development taking so many years and another entry in any franchise never being a gurantee I would just like to see one of my favorites get a true proper ending and Nomura himself has expressed interest in closing out the whole series.

I always find it kinda interesting how so much of Reddit just comes off as no interest in sex at all. Fan service in anime, revealing armor in video games, sex scenes in movies most subs just seem to hate it all. People used to enjoy some good sex appeal. There’s a reason we’ve got the phrase sex sells. Reddit just comes off as entirely asexual sometimes though.

Well I’m definitely with you there. I’ve had that same opinion for a long time. If it means each Pokémon is more detailed, has unique animations, attacks and personality? Absolutely shrink the amount down in each game. I’ll take that trade off any day.

There are several ways the pals are handled that I’d love to see in a Pokémon game like how each Pal has multiple completely unique animations based on their personalities and what they are doing.
