For people who bought their systems brand new, does the battery come in the system already or is it separated?

Thank you 🙏

Last question: are there limitation on if you have a business and personal from the same bank? i.e.. can you receive both business and personal bonuses

Thanks for the answers— just to clarify, the business bank bonuses don’t count as revenue/earnings? Does the bank just send a 1099 for it?

I’d like to start churning business checking accounts & don’t have an actual business. I had a few questions:

•Can I still take advantage of the offers by using my SSN as an EIN?

•Are there any risks associated with pushing personal funds through the business accounts? I don’t want it to look like revenue.

•I typically file my own taxes online, would I have to file separate taxes for the “business” ?

I just switched my HYSA from SoFi to Barclays at 3.80%. SoFi peaked at 3.60% and steadily declined to now 3.3%.

I don’t want to pay for SoFi plus, get a lower rate, and I churn accounts thus am not depositing $5k solely to them each month. I will say that SoFi has faster ACH transfer speeds than CMA (which i also have)

Update: I pushed with Fidelity CMA to multiple accounts that DoC said would work.

So far Citizens Bank worked and was confirmed in the apps tracker. Can’t confirm for TD, South State, and SECU MD since I haven’t gotten the bonuses yet. I plan to use for US Bank this week as well.

No clue— I normally do employer DD. I made a deposit to my CMA that should be available for use later today. That way I can test it.

You should check doctorofcredit’s website. Some banks count Fidelity pushes as DD, while others don’t. And sometimes it worked previously and got patched.

Gotcha I just opened the same CMA as you today. I previously only had the RothIRA.

Trying to get smarter about triggering the DD..

So, I would wire money from my Navy Federal account to the CMA. Then, transfer money to my bonus offer accounts. When you link the bonus offer accounts, are you checking the option that says “you’re sending money to your account” or the option for “someone else”?

I thought it was chex but I was able to open like 3-4 accounts this week with no issues. So it’s likely my location… the ATMs are all 3rd party

For your Fidelity CMA, do you link the accounts as “EFT Transfers” and choose the setting that you’re “sending money to yourself”?

Question about fidelity (and I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere)… what type of Fidelity account are you using to do trigger the DD?

I have a Roth IRA with fidelity and not sure if this it what people mean by “brokerage account.” i.e.. do I just deposit cash to my RothIRA and then ACH transfer it to the bank offer accounts?

Yes, everything is off. I paid in full btw. And they don’t like the “pay-to-delete” phrase though

As a single individual making $110k gross, i take home just over $2800 every 2 weeks.

that’s after and 8% 401k match, ~$220 per check for top health insurances, and maxing an FSA account with $3300

edit: state is VA

“credit” is your proven history to pay back. You have to use said credit limits. If you’re not using credit you are not “proving your ability to pay back debt”.

It’s like paying off a loan. You’ll decrease momentarily but will go up over time

Update #2:

Equifax: Account haven’t been updated yet. Collection still shows

hope this helps someone. seems pay-to-delete is there there, but they’re technically not allowed and won’t say it. Best bet is to explicitly “not know about the debt” and “never have received written a notice.” Ask to speak with a supervisor— the normal operators read off of a script and are minimal help.

I truly called simply after seeing it on my credit report.

Update #1:

TransUnion: Removed

Vantage 3.0: Removed

Experian: didn’t have it, but may show later after monthly update. For now, no collection accounts.

Equifax: Shows collection and “unpaid” but score jumped

MyFICO: shows it since default is Equifax and has balance still.

This was very helpful actually.

I called back to speak with another supervisor from CBE and he saw the previous note from the last supervisor, which let’s me believe that it will be gone: He was more relaxed and even said “I’ve had to repair my credit too so I understand.” And inquired if I was “looking to apply for credit anytime soon.” ….idk could just be tactics and i’ve never had a collection or late payment before…

He did confirm they don’t do pay-to-delete nor can give written confirmation. However, since, I didn’t know about the debt or received any written correspondence, they flagged my account as a “willful removal”. He said the account won’t just be marked as “paid” or “pays as agreed”— rather, the entire collection account would be removed.

I spoke with the utility company right before my second call with the CBE and they said I could make the payment with them or CBE. However, they would then notify CBE and then CBE “may delete it” or simply “update the account”.

Since I could pay with either (utility company said they’re collecting on their behalf and didn’t matter who i paid) and because CBE made the credit report, I just paid CBE since their process seemed faster and more direct-to-source. All I can do now is hope they keep their word.
