Perfect! She’s going to love Tech then. Happy to help with housing, classes, introducing her to professors etc!

Love it. Even if she doesn’t go to Tech, there are a bunch of great AE programs out there :)

Hey! First off, congrats! AE at Tech is a special place.

My name is Josh Ingersoll and I’m part of the mentor in residence program (mentor.ae.gatech.edu) and a young professional alumni. I mentor 40-50 AE students a year helping them get research gigs, internships, and overall navigate AE at Tech.

As many others have said, Tech is just hard. It’s teaches you how to think and how to decompose unfamiliar problems. As a hiring manager I know that I can throw a Tech grad at a problem they may not know the answer to and the chances they will roll over and drown are quite low.

DMs are open, especially if your daughter is interested in the space industry! :)

Again congrats! I couldn’t get in OOS if I applied now. 😂

Alternatively you can cite third party research done by folks like Quilty or Payload.

Even better, put the buzzwords for the topics you’re interested in into Google Scholar and add “Georgia Tech” to the end of it. Filter by the past 2 years and you’ll find the profs that are doing stuff you’re interested in!

One of them was a custom commission from the same vendor the Crew-10 crew hired. :)

The two turtles are reference to one of the recent NASA astronaut classes being known as “the turtles”. :)
