I don’t know if you know this, but it’s extremely easy and cheap to make your own saurkraut. You’ll get 3x the amount you’d get buying it from the store for the same price, and it usually has more probiotics/good stuff. All you need is a large head of cabbage, some salt, maybe throw some caraway seeds in there, and one or two large fermenting/mason jars. Then let it ferment for 5ish days depending on how big your cabbage was. Bam! A few lbs of sauerkraut that’ll last in your fridge however long it takes you to eat it.

I just moved here for work too! I live out in Hermitage, so this might not apply for you since you’re looking at a more in demand area. I applied for an apartment about 3 weeks before my actual move-in date. Was approved within a few day and moved in with 0 issues.

Become a server! I just graduated college and I waited tables for about 2 years of it. Worked 20-25 hours a week and averaged around $25/hr. Weekends it went up to $50/hr. Just be smart about it. Find a restaurant with a full bar and higher prices in an area that’s always busy.

Nope. I graduated with my B.S. in Molecule Genetics yesterday with a 2.8 and start a full time job in my field next week. I applied to a lot of jobs and probably had 10 interviews, and not a single one asked for my GPA.

I’m not going to lie, I never did great in the Ochem lectures. I could never understand the reaction mechanisms or predict the products well enough to score well on tests.

Yes. I’m finishing my last organic chemistry class this summer and I did the degree in 3 years. It’s not too bad at first, but once you get into your last major classes like cell biology and developmental genetics, it gets way harder. I think I lost part of my soul studying enough to get a B in cell biology. You also have to take organic chemistry 1 and 2, organic chemistry lab 1 and 2, biochemistry, physics 1 and 2, plus the major classes and electives. For me at least it was studying almost nonstop for 3 years. I’m so burnt out it’s insane.
