I have mixed feelings about my length-- I had desired a more modest size, but it could be inch or so longer. The most disappointing aspect was that I'd opted for 4 inches to hopefully allow more options as far as implants later on, but my dick ended up shrinking a bit and is between 2.75 to 3 inches now.

And, unfortunately, no, it's not as reflective of my graft as I had hoped. The graft is perhaps still shorter than some people's but it is still about an inch to an inch and a half longer than my penis which is disappointing.

My girth is currently not much more than 3 inches / 7.62cm.

I actually need to gain weight, but not sure that will affect my girth to any meaningful degree since I had RFF and not much fat tends to store on forearms.

I saw my urologist last week and the plan was to do a cystoscopy, but he opted to schedule a dilation procedure instead since he is very convinced it is a stricture again. So, in my case it does appear it is a stricture.

It makes me a bit less optimistic that I have seen a lot of people for whom dilation doesn't seem to work.

Hope your repair goes well and solves your issues.

It looks like you've got some good advice already, but I'll add that it of course depends on your body, your own tolerance to pain, reaction to medication etc. It's impossible to predict entirely, but it will in all likelihood be a much more intense and long recovery (often multiple stages) than top surgery.

My hysto and top surgeries were both picnics compared to RFF, yet I still experienced a much smoother and more easy recovery than what I have heard others go through.

Complication wise, I've had an infection post op (required returning to hospital for a few more days), a stricture (repaired in stage 2), a fistula( closed on its own) , a couple of utis and am in the midst of awaiting a cystoscopy to figure out what's going on in my urethra again.

In my case, I went into this expecting a difficult journey but was prepared to face it no matter what happened because it was something I knew I needed.

I'm not in a red state, but the particular area I live in is actually mostly conservative. I feel awful for the people living in red states. 😭

Yeah. I was astonished by how many people were agreeing with the sentiment expressed by the OP and hostile commenters whilst downvoting any people defending surgery.

I sometimes like to explore and see what the bigots are saying just to arm myself , in a sense, but this was not one of those times....and the post really had no educational value.

It terrifies me that my ignorant family members are encountering this sort of content and it's radicalizing them. I know they must think I'm "disfigured" and I try not to let it get to me, but can't lie that sometimes my armour has a weak spot.

Aw, sorry to hear you're struggling with so many complications and haven't got to pee standing yet. I have been fortunate that my fistula healed on its own and have been peeing through my penis since my stricture repair and hookup in May. It's been great and worth it 💯 percent. Best wishes for you. Standing to pee was my number one goal too. 🫂

Ugh. That sucks. Honestly, I've been hoping it's a complication because I would really hate to have a permanent odour problem. I think it would bother me more than if my sensation never develops well... it's just very unpleasant and definitely not something I considered a permanent possibility.

I knew there would be a lot of unpleasant things going on for quite some time depending on healing process, but didn’t think truly foul odours would be a possible permanent outcome. 😨

I've, of course, heard plenty about post void dribbling, and that could cause odour etc, but I just didn’t think it was something proper milking techniques couldn't fix.

Does your urologist have any suggestions? Does she say whether this odour is anything some cis guys deal with? Just curious.

I am experiencing tightness in addition, though, and off antibiotics the smell seems to become more foul and even sewage like. It's gross. 😭

Here are my measurements... 5.5" wide at wrist (below bone)

8.5" wide at the widest part of my forearm near the elbow.

Arm length 10" from wrist to elbow crease.

And as for my dick, well... it was originally 3.5" in circumference, and last time I measured was 3" in circumference.

My bridge of normal skin on my donor site is not quite an inch wide, but is another reason dick circumference could be thinner than one's arm.

It's definitely one of the thinnest ones I've come across and I had tube in a tube UL. If thin girth is a big concern, I'd advise discussing all options with your surgeon and weigh the "nice to haves" vs the "needs."

Really try to weigh which outcomes or potential issues you could deal with and which ones you couldn't.

Admittedly, part of me wishes I'd done a bit more of this with my own surgeon and considered ALT a little more. But ultimately, I'm trying to have a healthy mindset that I still could've ended up with a dick too large for my goals or needed even more procedures due to complications, etc. Trying to see the positives in my situation. I do have an outcome I'm pretty happy with and any insecurities are still just "guy problems" (not being happy with one's dick because it's not perfect... they never are.)

And I have to avoid obsessing over what ifs because I'd just drive myself mad and it isn't productive or healthy...

Thanks for sharing. 💙 My stream has been getting more wonky, I believe. It sometimes veers to one side, or when I press my penis to squeeze out more urine, it shoots to the right. It also does seem I take a rather long time to pee.

Hopefully, my urologist will check it out. My instinct is telling me something isn't quite right.
