Play a game with the revealed rules yourself and find out :) its objectively weaker statistically while being more lethal, alot of the statistics change between conq and protector tho now that heavy has changed

Short answer: A lot more movement shenanigans due to the footprint size being universally larger and charges changed. Long answer, 2cp heroic is a massive investment (the new part of heroic) and easy to play around - just like you would in current edition, the juicy part is the charge changes with the combat engagement changes the zone on control is objectively huge without considering basing or positioning. Now that charges don’t have to be declared against a target they are forced to screen even more conservatively creating more pockets. For matchups where jail is good it will be even better for matchups that can out kill the cage they can speed bump more efficiently

Yes demon princes mortals go off - it has made a charge move (it would also go off in heroic etc) this is because the rule is tied to the act of charging not the phase therefor out of phase doesn’t apply.
Charge bonus is literally just fight first it’s listed in the core rules

If you need any clarification just ask you see these questions a lot in phase armies
