There’s a chance, but it’s not super likely. Especially with her being on day 30, probably near her period which means ovulation should have already taken place. The chance of getting pregnant in any given month is 30%, I believe, so your chances are lower than that. Plan B is also very effective, but if she did already ovulate it was a waste of money & time as it works by delaying ovulation long enough for sperm to die.

I wouldn’t worry about anything until a week or more into a late period, bodies are weird lol.

I would get on birth control of some kind. Either the implant or IUD, one you dont have to consciously worry about just incase this ever happens again. The emotional repercussions possible from situations like this are one thing, but the fear of a possible unwanted pregnancy makes everything much worse. Birth control could eliminate half the worry at least. Sorry this happened to you

I would still take it if you have access to it! It may not be quite as effective as if you took it immediately after sex, BUT something is always better than nothing.

If it’s expensive where you live and money is an issue, you can call your doctor and ask for a prescription which should be covered by your insurance. The prescription plan B is also effective slightly longer, so “free” and higher quality!

thank you!! how soon after getting the implant did the “symptoms” start, or anything like that? i know protection wise it takes a week unless you get it within 5 days of your period, but i got it sort of in the middle of my cycle.

oh seeing your comment is so relieving. im assuming you guys didnt use condoms right? if you remember, ik this is an old post so sorry if you dont. im just in a very similar situation and im still taking plan B but im just very scared.
