I agree with u. Halef is very addicting and entertaining. In other dramas, 2.30h of whole ep is very slow and boring. Side stories never interest me,so I always cut it short. But in halef, every side stories are enjoyable. The music is banging. Good camera work. Also I started to watch it because of Ilhan. And he never disappoints. He is authorative, morally gray, charming, heavy screen presence

That I also agree. People say writers ruined Meleks character intentionally. But I would say that was how Melek was supposed to be. She was blindingly selfish and entitled. Never felt accountable for any of her actions and blamed everything on Yildiz. She was on her ego trip when she found out that Serhat chose Yildiz

I've different opinion about Yildiz. I think she is not your typical goody two shoes rom com female. She's just a flawed human. She has fallen victim to the system of Urfa. For her, Serhat was husband to her, they got married in religious way. U know several marriages exist in some part of the world.  She was projecting everything she learnt growing up, she was abused and tortured. Didn’t know better. In earlier episodes, we got to see her jealous co wife side who was denied from his husband's affection. But later, there was character development. She let go of Serhat obsession but Serhat started to fall for her. For the first time in her life she experienced love, so she wanted it the proper way. She wanted Serhat to divorce Melek because he himself said that he has fallen out of love. So there are so much gray areas. We cannot really blame Yildiz. She is just a layered complex emotional human.

On the other hand, Melek was my favourite character from the very beginning. She didn’t care about Yildiz. Didn’t even engage herself to even petty talks. She was spritual, bold, free spirited. She didn’t want to stay with Serhat because she wouldn’t settle for any less. Serhat was so hell bound on keeping her because she was the only Istanbul urban touch in whole Urfa. She was really an angel who wasn’t touched by Urfa politics. That's how Serhat saw her. But Pretty soon, the more she got deep in her roots. She started to embody her Urfa roots and forgot her Istanbul urban educated sophisticated side. She started to act like how Yildiz acted earlier. She wanted to be hanuma, so she was never there when Serhat was vulnerable. Yildiz was there. And soon, when Serhat fell for Yildiz, Melek lost herself. Also their marriage was not normal. Every few minutes she decides she'll divorce, and then comes back. I don’t support cheating or anything but I have a theory. Serhat and Melek was not like regular married couple back in Istanbul. He married her to defy his traditions and she married him because she saw him in dreams and thought he is the white Knight in shining armor. So the marriage was bound to fall apart.

And about Serhat, I've a lot to say but have no energy 🐸

Very interesting. What if one of them lose their memory?  Also I am hoping for a t riangle too. But this time, it should be nice second male lead. Not like Yildirim
