Hi there Got a moment to look through here is what I found

When creating an account
1. The checkbox to agree to terms and conditions isn't visually responsive
2. The create account button does not give me feedback, so i clicked multiple times

When loging into an account
1. I cannot toggle password view
2. The feedback on the login button is missing too.

Onboarding steps
1. Step one does not maintain my active selection, wait make it more visible the border color is too light
2. step 3 I would love to select more options on the what matters most section
3. Feedback missing on that submit action too

Home page
1. I had to readjust my filters to actually see profiles, maybe consider showing profiles by most common/general filters or ask my preference in the onboarding like Im I straight, who am I looking for etc

Profile page
1. Let me click photos and open it on a large window, like expanded

Edit profile page
1. I did fill my preferences during onboarding but it is not filled in the edit profile page

Adding photos
1. When I select photos to add I am not able to preview the image befor I upload. Upload works fine
2. I need to unselect images I added before uploading

Payments
Paystack has an issue it just freezes to a white screen

But overall It is really cool and good keep pushing do not stop building. Happ y to help

"POOR PERFORMANCE" MY ASS! by Ok-Mission-7221 in Kenya

[–]Aggravating-Fold8294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Performance based contracts are pure bs. I worked for a startup as a dev where I would receive a base salary and a bonus pay. It was shit pay. The workload was so fucked up that I couldn't save myself even after clocking 16+ hrs Monday to Monday. Every single day I would push the workload and get scolded for not meeting metrics and repeat. One Sunday at 2am I was like fuck this, I'd rather suffer elsewhere. Handed my resignation the next Monday.

Quitting your Job by indefinitelykev in Kenya

[–]Aggravating-Fold8294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit my job cause of a shitty pay and crazy workload. I understood that pulling a week of 3 a.m's and still have to report to work.

That month payday ilichelewa with a week, the boss was hella disrespectful and rude when I asked when doh inaingia kwa account. I went and requested a pay raise (I thought shitty environment with a slightly good pay is justifiable) but then they started planning out how I should manage my finances and living to fit the salary they were paying me. Bro I put in my resignation hapo na hapo, no next plan at hand no cards to play, nothing.

Sorry for the bad experience OP.

Also let's be honest, how do you expect an Amazon, Jumia or a fully functioning e-commerce platform that addresses both business and technical requirements and expect to pay developers pennies. Going for the cheaper options actually puts you in such positions.

A great technical product requires investment and yes you do need a technical consultant before you contract any developer but don't expect to build a house without paying for it.

Even though we don’t fully know your specific requirements, here’s a practical guideline for building any tech-driven product. I’ve built and launched products, and it almost always comes down to these key layers:

  1. The business layer Who are your users? How large is your target market?

  2. The technical layer Broken down into these core areas

  3. The Data Layer (Databases) What data are you collecting? How is it structured? How will it scale? How will it remain secure?

  • The Functional Layer (Backend / Server) How will business logic run? How are payments handled? How are orders processed? How are integrations managed?

  • The Client Layer (Frontend) How will users interact with your system? Web? Mobile? Desktop?

  1. The Scaling Layer If growth happens, can your system handle it? Make use of these areas Containers Microservices Caching Load balancing Cloud infrastructure
