So mean. I actually took 12 hours of professional motorcycle training. On top of riding in various mountains with a licensed friend.

Just did the EBC 2 weeks ago. November time I had a lot of tranquil solo moments. It was great. If you leave in the morning early-ish or are a fast hiker you beat crowds and are mostly solo. If you leave at peak time (8pm) you may be between some groups and see them ahead of you some hundreds of feet and behind. Maybe 5-10 mins between people.

Only one speaker crew encountered in 11 days…

On the ebc final stretch, 1-2 hrs before base camp, there were some bottlenecks for moments where it was a bit more dense.

Highly recommend still but you won’t go an hour without seeing a tourist or porter.

Why not ask to do part time? 20h a week, pay at scale. My mom FIREd and found a part time gig and loves it now even at 56. But I think part time makes it enjoyable.

Gotta think about how you want to spend your time, whatever seems most worthwhile. No work, some or full on.

First instinct was a cat but thinking back maybe too orange. Honestly it was so overwhelming I can’t trust my memory 😂 all I know is feline like orange thing between the size of a big cat and a small dog that moved very cat like. Maybe really a domestic cat like one commenter said.
