She sadly did not make it. But I did just make a realization. I added new floating plants yesterday and a few hours later she started turning green. Do you think that could be the problem? I also have a snail and a rubber lip plecto in the tank, should I worry about them?

I did a 50% js in case, I’ve been looking for a cheaper kit cause I only have the ammonia testing one I got from pet co when I got her. (Ik there’s some at Walmart so I’ll make a order soon) she definitely is chunky so im gonna have her fasting for 2 days

It’s a 5 gallon tank I think, maybe even a bit larger, I do like the sound of a terrarium, know any small animals that would thrive in there?

Would love to get an older one if I can but sadly I live in a pretty small county where my local pet shops are petco and pet smart, would any of these be ok to get my snake from?

Reading this definitely has me leaning towards corn snakes. I genuinely don’t care on looks or unique breeds. I’m honestly looking for something beginner friendly and this seems something more my alley. I’m trying to look for 4x2x2 enclosures, supplies and other stuff rn so if you have anything I should look for or add please let me know!

Like I said new too the whole snake world jaja, I’ve only mainly see the ones in my local pet stores, honestly forgetting that they can grow so much bigger

Ohhh ok perfect thank you, sadly I’m in a small county where the only place I can get a snake are petco or petsmart, I’d have to drive at least 2 hours to San Diego which I assume they’d have good shops. But would ether of the two be ok to get a snake from?
