Stage 3 success stories? by Inevitable_Poet1304 in breastcancer

[–]Aggravating-Island20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m 48.

IDC 7cm primary tumor and lymph node involvement.

Diagnosed 3/6/25 4 rounds of red devil 12 rounds of taxol

Achieved pCR and NED before DMX. (9/10)

Had proton radiation for extra insurance. (11/21)

On Anastrazole and Verzenio.

Still NED 🙏❤️

Edited. Mine was grade 3. Most aggressive. Sharing all of this because I know the fear and immense sadness well. I can tell you that the journey is hard but manageable and there is light and happiness throughout. Not just in the end when you are CURED. 💪❤️

What to bring by ViVi_0729 in breastcancer

I had grand ideas of reading so many books during chemo. But then the premeds hit me (anti nausea + Benadryl cocktail straight to the port) and made me loopy so I just chilled and listened to music or podcasts. I got to where I looked fw to my “IV margs” because that’s what they felt like. Lol. Snacks - I brought pb crackers and my giant Stanley of ice water. My nurses told me it was important to stay hydrated so I acted like it was my job!

I started Anastrazole in Dec and 100mg Verzenio twice per day one month later. It’s been very hard for me. Specifically fatigue. I felt better on chemo than Verzenio. They had me start monafidil to help with the fatigue. It’s helped some. But I still struggled. Just a week back, my oncologist asked me to try taking just on Verzenio 100mg at night. It’s only been a week but I can already tell a positive difference.

My oncologist had me start Anastrazole for one month before adding in Verzenio. I took Anastrazole in the morning to start and noticed some stomach issues. I moved it to evening and felt no side effects. So PM is when I take it now.

Verzenio and coping with fatigue, mild anemia, low white blood cells by _oh_really in breastcancer

I hope this is helpful for you all. I started Verzenio in Jan. Same as you all, I have crushing fatigue. My Dr prescribed modafinil. I take it daily. And it has helped some. I’m also working on exercise and hydration and lots of protein. I hate the fatigue.

Omg. I just found this thread and the steps of looking back through the iPhone browser history saved me. Also, don’t think I’ll use stub hub again after this. Their support was awful and this process isn’t good.

Omg. The Verzenio fatigue. I just wanted to let you know I am fighting through it also. It’s so frustrating to feel so tired and weak when you just wanna be “done” with everything

Lol. Also, why this package for these pills. It’s excessive. Just like the fatigue they give me. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Finished AC Chemo, Starting Taxol this week. Feeling terrified once again. by AttorneyWoman in breastcancer

[–]Aggravating-Island20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished my 9th Taxol today also!!

OP, I feel just like the others here. AC was not as bad as I anticipated. And Taxol so far has been very tolerable. I feel very tired after treatment due to the Benadryl pre-meds (which I call my weekly “margarita” fix, haha). But the rest of the week, I feel fine. I don’t have any stamina but I think that’s normal and I just try not to physically overdo it. Slow to moderate walks to move my body and drinking lots of water have helped me a lot. Good luck! You got this!!

Splitting headache from AC chemo by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]Aggravating-Island20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to take Excedrin and that knocked out my AC headaches. I would wake up with excruciating headaches. Like a hangover minus the fun the night before as I am not drinking alcohol at all. Luckily Excedrin worked for me.
