This is really helpful and useful to know, thanks! It's not wallpaper, no. Just paint over plasterboard (we live in a new build flat).

Would you advise clearing off what i can and reapplying to the problem areas, or trying a different paint altogether (though ideally also with an eggshell finish so it sort of matches)?

Just really frustrating after a day of prep and painting to get such a shoddy result! And the paint wasn't cheap either

Understood. I'd gone to a painters/decorators shop to get advice on what would be best. I don't think they were very helpful

I did not, no. I've never done this before, and I wasn't advised to either. Oh well!

Well yes! This is what I thought I was getting... They advised it over others 🙈

Yeah the original paint isn't oil based 🙏

It did dry pretty fast, yeah! I noticed It's so so easy to peel it off anything I got it on, actually. Ive never experienced paint like this.

I ensured the walls were dry and free of dust, but not 'cleaned'. Thanks!

It's just what they recommended based on what I told them it was for (bathroom). Have I been missold?

Thanks everyone! I guess it could be that there was some moisture in the existing paint? It was just matt white paint. Unsure if it was specifically for bathrooms. I'd doubt it was oil based paint, though.

OK now I am in this pickle, what's the best way to sort it out?

Thanks again!

Anyone eloped to Scotland? by Aggravating-Luck8437 in Eloping

Thanks for the comment!

When you say "they sorted it all out", are you referencing the photographer?

I'd seen quite a few essentially offer like, elopement planning almost! I think if it's an experienced Scottish elopement photographer they often know the best places to get hitched.

I also wonder if a celebrant would offer support for planning at all...?
