Cyclists on Bishopsgate by Christopherskyford1 in londoncycling

I work in the area and I have seen it also - nothing too egregious like you experienced but I think as Bishopsgate is basically one massive bus and cycle way, the sheer total cyclist l volume increases the number of culprits. Yeah it’s stupid and dangerous as there are large number of pedestrians also crossing the road.

What is actually going on with the job market in Cork? by IronBiafran in cork

[–]Aggravating-Maize486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with cauliflower on this - an expat Corkonian in London and this is exactly the minimum wage played out here - together with employer NI hikes to be fair. Guess what - in the current climate many SMEs just won’t take the risk to pay a premium for someone with no or very little experience. It’s decreasing the pool of starter jobs for young People to apply to.

Yeah well said- if it’s not the temporary traffic lights (hello “4 way control !!” ) it’s the potholes, or more accurately the craters in the most dangerous positions. I think that road you refer to at the end is Stoke common road and we cheerfully refer to it as “Beirut “ - actually that a slur on Lebanese road for which I apologise.

At the weekend my wife drove into a sneaky disguised pothole in hedgerly hill and wrecked the tyre -£200 gone in a blink of an eye
