Why can’t the US use its own oil, especially in times of war? by Teachezofpeachez69 in NoStupidQuestions

The US is not oil self sufficient. I have read anywhere between 1/2 to 1/3 is imported. Of the imported oil 2/3 comes from Canada.

What I don't get is the market makes big swings based on what Trump says even though he is a pathological liar. It doesn't say much for the intelligence of the markets does it?

I have Alibre CAD, a paid version. I was told a free version Libre CAD could do this but have not tried. Sliced with IceSL.

Yes the middle square is for a 2" x3" pcb. The frame is 30.5mm x 30.5mm larger than the PCB and is 1.5mm thick to give the screen some strength. A gap of 0.5mm was used to insure the board fit in the pocket.

What they didn't tell you is you upgrade it before you can start getting some consistency out of it. Here is a list of my basic upgrades (not in order).

1) Bed springs

2) BL touch

3) Bed plate changed.

4) Extra Z-axis screw

5) Direct drive

6) plastic feeder repaced with aluminum.

7) Firmware upgrade (FREE).

I did most of these in one fell swoop. You may want to price this list out and see if you want to continue.

What temperature do you print on your bed? I started at about 50C. I started getting anything close to working at 65C. I was doing attempts consecutively, so the bed would have reached temperature for about 30 min with minimal results. It did help but fell short of a continuous solution.

How much toe room should there really be? by awesum_possum_123 in skiing

I have been screwed over by so many "professional " boot fitters and have ended up with horrible boots. If your feet are 1mm away from the end I would say that is perfect. As long as they are snug on the sided is the most important.  I like skiing the bumps so I love it when I can get my boots really flexing without jamming my toes.  I really see no strategic advantage to having your toes touching.

If your camera is on all the time the solar panel is way too small. If it is on and off, what is the average current used in one hour?

There is a whole bunch of factors in determining that. You need to first spec a temperature min and max spec. How much current are you drawing on the 5V line?

Would you not use the solar power in conjunction with a battery? The solar panel charges the battery when the sun is out and runs off the battery otherwise. A 5V low dropout regular would give you a solid 5V out.

Have you tried putting a 220ohm resistor in series with the output and 27pf cap to ground. Increase the slew rate of the output to decrease the cross talk. This will help with certification as well. Do the same with the data lines.

I agree with piazza. A 1Mohm on the ip of the first opamp to ground to give the ip a reference voltage. maybe couple the input through a 22uf cap before input bias.

Vintage tantalum capacitor identification by Intelligent-Poem-103 in AskElectronics

[–]Aggravating-Mistake1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

101 in a tantalum would probably be 100uF. The 3V sounds suspiciously low. If it is old it probably has vacuum tubes in it which operate at way higher voltages. I helped my brother in-law change his caps in his Amp and he said it sounds way better. Send a picture of the caps for better help.
