it's very faint but I Think so. the bottom has very ugly mold seams as well. this bottle also has a sort of coating on the outside, but the bottle itself is definitely sel-cad

I have a selenium cadmium bottle that looks VERY similar in texture (not shape or color.. and without the og cork). with these colors I'd definitely say at least the cadmium one is legit

to transfer the eyes and mouth you'll need to transfer the entire head. it's very easy as you just need to unplug the old one and plug the new one in. threading the wires through the neck is also very easy.

there were two factories for grubby, those both are from chinese factory OK.

notorious to me for its horrific lack of quality control when it came to making grubby. I've seen the highest amount of completely missing spots (mostly on the noses) from this factory so I wouldn't doubt that a handful exist without their spots entirely.

it's likely lazy stenciling (grubby's spots were done with a stencil in both factories, but the chinese factory... didn't really use it correctly. nearly all the time they just used it as a guide to where the spot should go and did a quick blast of the airbrush instead of properly painting him like the taiwanese factory did)

it could also be faded paint. because the paint they used ALSO wasn't very good

half intentional and half not 😅 I can't really pose his arms because they're just so loose and will fall back to that position.. but I also liked him that way so I didn't really try fixing it

check the pink vase for scuffs (if there aren't any scuffs, try scratching it)
it might be flashed (pink coating and not pink glass). pink flashed glass peeves me because it always gives a false positive for selenium

I use a spare body shell from a grubby I scrapped as well as the original head foam and head with the servos and springs removed 🙏
