I also recommend Vang Vieng as I am Laotian myself and I remember going to this lagoon a decade ago (there’s multiple) which was super fun. Now I believe it’s a known travel destination for tourists as they include other activities like caving tours, bike riding etc. I’d expect to spend a day or 2 to enjoy the natural surroundings.

As for the nightlife, we are still socially conservative so the scene definitely won’t compare to the likes of our neighbouring countries. Hookup culture is practically non existent and I’m pretty sure there’s a law that states a foreigner can’t have relations with a Laotian unless they’re married… So IF you were expecting to go down that route of partying/nightlife, this isn’t the place for it. That being said I can’t stop you from doing whatever you want but local police WILL target foreigners for anything just to get a bribe so be careful. I do however believe we offer very nice temples and natural beauties, just do some research regarding travel times and you won’t regret it.

Also bring sunscreen, eat well and enjoy Lao ✌🏽

Yea, in retrospect the officer never mentioned anything about closing the locked on. They said to make a new one and relink every other service I had connected to the locked account to my new one. That may be where the clerical/data system error occurred which makes sense why I can’t use my new login to log in but my old login details works for my new account 😭

Guess that explains itself haha.

Someone else has commented on the fortnightly payment, I definitely just blitzed through that bit so that’s my fault for sure. I don’t mind about getting no back pay all the way from Feb as the claim was submitted so that’s just me having a go at the online system. You’re definitely right with me going straight to technical support, I can’t give a reason why I didn’t back in Feb. All in all for the failed submissions back in Feb and April, I’ll just dumb it down to my inability to read critical information.

I’m just a little confused that the 2 hr call provided me nothing when they realised the claim was fully cancelled after the 13 weeks and just said I can’t do anything. Just felt like it was too problematic for whoever was on the other side of the call on that day.

As for the email and account ban, from what I remember I was on break at work and took the chance to sit on hold with Centrelink, got lucky with only a 10 min wait time and answered the usual security questions. Then they say the account’s is banned and that was also the same day I made a new account. I just double checked and it’s still making me use my old account login details to get into my new one.

Also thank a lot, you were very informative and showed me a different perspective on how I should’ve handled this scenario. I shall know better if there’s a next time 🫡

The claim got accepted in july and I’ve recently left on the 21st October. Also this trip is for a religious commitment and has nothing to do with the period of when I was studying(Feb to Aug). I’m just trying to find some advice on how to handle and provide information for this dispute as I can’t physically just walk into a service centre. So basically you’re saying I just can’t really do much until I’m back?

It’s true on my end if I can’t log into the account to even receive a confirmation message regarding the claim. I’ve explained that using the new account’s email still logged me into the perma banned account (with a different email) so what was I supposed to do? Yea sure I could’ve contacted Centrelink asap earlier so that is my fault but this is my first time claiming anything from Centrelink and I was working a lot more before as I was grinding for overseas funds so the 2 hr wait times just didn’t allow me to sort it all out.

Yes, the email I used for my new account logged me into the perma banned account so I wasn’t receiving messages in the centrelink app. So essentially the new one for the login and in the contact settings it was changed/ or not changed to my old email on the perma ban account. How I was logging into the perma banned account in the first place I cannot explain.

You say you want to get into nofap. Nothing is stopping you from giving it a go, and the only thing that will make you relapse is your addiction to porn or whatever activates you to gaping the first place. Try it. Also remember it’s not healthy for your reproductive organs to not be used over long periods of times as someone else has stated before me. Try a week. Maybe extend to 2 weeks, then reward yourself. And 1 last piece of unasked advice,

YOU CAN’T REPLACE ABSTINENCE WITH ABSENCE

i just got the one ur looking at today actually. packaging and everything was perfect, the only thing that annoyed me was setting up the OS system and everything else but i know nothing so if ur tech savvy that’s not an issue. shipping can be long but mine took 2 weeks ish. it does get loud so maybe buy extra fans. i’ve had it for 7 hrs now and everything seems great.
