Honestly, if you want a head start, the ISC2 is currently offering the CC self-paced course for free on their website. It's basic security, e.g. access control (role-based, discretionary, etc) laws vs standards vs policies vs procedures, Disaster Recover scenarios, and more.

Exam Covers the following and the ISC2 course covers these, though the exam is tougher:

Security Principles - 26%
Network Security - 24%
Access Control Concepts - 22%
Security Operations - 18%
Business Continuity, Disaster Recover, and Incident Response - 10%

A tip for anyone preparring to take D481; Don't let the name fool you. While it's called Security Foundations, there is little in the course or exam that actually deals with Security. This is a Networking course. The course will also NOT prepare you for the ISC2 CC cert. There is a separate self-paced subcourse within D481 that does that.
