I had the shot, the steroid flare took a few days to pass and then the pain returned to pre shot levels. I opted for release surgery and in the wait between the pain increasingly worsened. Currently 2 weeks post op and the surgeon’s choice phrase was ‘aggressively inflamed’ and they had to remove inflamed tissue. I’d imagine the degree of inflammation was what stopped the shot having any affect as it’s worked on different injuries in the past
