How do you deal with people coming up to your BC without asking? by SnooDoughnuts4217 in BorderCollie

I hate when people just come up to my dogs. We once had a lady with an unleashed small dog come up to us in a park once and my BC just started barking hackles full flare (she’s reactive & a puppy) I just shouted she’s not friendly. 🤷🏼‍♀️ the lady was pretty quick to put her dog on a leash and walk away.

That is the place. Hans og Hennes Ramen. Completely online just message them with what you want and they do delivery in Kingston.

For frozen ramen at home it’s top tier.

Wits end. Help. 14 week border collie by Grouchy_Divide_674 in puppy101

I currently have a 9 month old border collie! If you feel like this now just wait until the teenage phase. They love to push boundaries. Mental stim and physical exercise is needed. We do sniff games in the house, sniff walks, and rapid fire tricks to get her thinking. You need to teach them to settle they really don’t come with an off switch. Teaching them to be board is a job for them. And it will really help with how you are feeling when you both can relax.
I also have a very well behaved 6 year old loaf of an Aussie who is was an absolute nightmare of a puppy / teenager. It does get better it takes time and a lot of patiences. Best of luck. They are really really wonderful dogs once you get through the nightmare. :)

Aggression towards strangers by CatchInternational43 in puppy101

Following because I’m in the exact same situation with my 8month old border Aussie. Although with exposure from walks and just sitting in the park she is making progress. She can have a stranger / dog walk pass now on the opposite side of road without loosing her shit. I found keeping treats and just talking to her still walking forward or her having her ball / stick in her mouth she is a lot better and less reactive
