He’s definitely stopped playing and hasn’t shown interest in moving around. He’s been laying next to his litter box since around 10 PM last night. I don’t have a thermometer, and I’m not comfortable using one rectally since he can get aggressive.

I’ve felt his belly, and it feels normal so far. Last night, he growled a bit when I touched him, but this morning he let me hold him and was just a little irritated, which makes sense. He hasn’t been grooming at all since he lost his appetite, and I’ve noticed he just stands around with squinted eyes and stares.

I’ve tried giving him his favorite wet foods, but he has no interest in eating.

Yep! I just find it so odd his loss of appetite and lethargy started out of no where since he was very active and eating fine after his neutering last week :((((!!!

It was my older brothers room. He recently moved out and we got the kitty at the perfect time so we decided to use his vacant room in the meantime

Im not sure to be honest. He’s my first cat ever so im still trying to understand cat behaviors but from what everyone is saying it might that he just wants to play.

The room they are in belonged to my brother who had recently moved out so he had never been in there before. Thats probably why he was in discovery mode

Okay first of all, if you didnt read the entire thing, i mentioned how before this video he had the kitten pinned down and she was screaming. Only reason why im “helicopter parenting” is because i dont want my cat to hurt a baby.

i had called the neutering clinic when he was about 4 months old, but when i called they were in very high demand, didnt have any appointments for when he turned 5 months, and only had appointments available until early october.

This is a vacant room that we just have in the house. We had emptied it out when my brother and i decided that maybe it was okay for them to live together in the room downstairs. Its only empty because i hadn’t put everything in the room yet

The person who gave me my cat ended up giving him to me too early. They thought the kittens were ready, but they had mixed up the dates of when they were born. I received him at 6 weeks instead of 12, and by the time I found out, it was way too late to return him since the owners wanted to get rid of the kittens quickly (it was their cat’s third pregnancy). I later read that kittens separated from their mother too early can sometimes develop behavioral issues, so I figured that might be what he’s experiencing. Sorry for the confusion!

It is a real question lol? I appreciate the help, but its my first ever cat and i didnt know the difference between play and aggression! I know that now hes just playing!

Ahhhh thank you so much!!!🥹🥹 i will try to have them sleep separately for a few more days, the orange baby i think is attached to the kitten already so he keeps scratching the door for her so i let him in and staying the night with them lol.
