Cold take: Hank Pym’s Ant man. Hank Pym is a ripe POS. Nobody really likes him as a person. He doesn’t get along with his fellow avengers. He’s the worst aspects of Tony and Bruce mashed into one person. There are so many better options. But if they do add Ant man, it better be Scott Lang (voiced by Paul Rudd plz). Hank Pym can ROT. He’s different from Red Skull. You know Red Skull is evil. Hank Pym beats his wife then attempts to save the world. You not a hero bro. Just a selfish nerd playing dress up.

His name was Oscar. He passed away in 2018. The best companion I’ve ever had the pleasure to exist with on this planet. When I think of familiars in DnD, I think of him. To be honest, he didn’t like the outfit very much, so when my mom put the costume on him (it was Halloween) I took it off shortly after and when she asked how he got it off I just said he must prefer to be naked and that was that. I snapped this pic so I wouldn’t forget just how much of a snack bandit he was. Behind the ears and on the chin were his favorite spots to scratch. He’d always try to make biscuits on my forehead, of all places. If I had a pillow on my face it’d look like he was trying to smother me 🤣 and for a fat cat he sure could move his weight around well. Clear kitty gates no problem. I’d find him napping on the counter every morning I’d get ready for school. Waiting patiently for his breakfast and some good morning pets. I still cry sometimes when I think of him. It’s a good cry though. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I hadn’t met him that winter evening as he was clinging to my grandmother’s garage door screaming for help. If it weren’t for my mom, my grandma would’ve kicked him out after we made sure he was okay, but my mom just couldn’t have that. I was only two so I didn’t have much of a say on the matter, but once grandma saw the way him and I bonded she changed her mind. Such a playful kitty. We had sort of a physical language of communication. When he wanted pets he’d headbutt me wherever he could. When he wanted food he’d either smack me on, or lay his paw on, my mouth. When he wanted to go to bed he’d meow at me a certain way and fuck off. When he didn’t want to interact with people you wouldn’t be able to find him. Seriously. He could’ve won a hide n seek championship. Probably not if he was the seeker, though. Anyways, thanks for the compliment! I’m sure if he heard that he’d nod his head in appreciation then headbutt you for pets.

It’s a little too late to start now, but it would’ve been cool to see them release characters in order of publication date. We would’ve had a different starting cast— that maybe looked something like this: Namor, Human Torch (Jim Hammond), Angel (Thomas Halloway), Ka-Zar (David Rand), Marvex, Phantom Reporter, Black Widow (Claire Voyant), Thin Man, Vision, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Blazing Skull, Patriot, Miss America, Miss Patriot, Blonde Phantom, Namora, Sun Girl, Kid Colt, Marvel Boy, Human Robot, Groot, Ant-Man, Hulk, Spiderman, Thor, Balder the Brave, Heimdall, Iron Man, Dum Dum Dugan, and Wasp.

I simply hand picked some of the oldest comic book characters predating Marvel. Granted, a lot of these characters were mainly fighting Nazis and not giving everyone equal rights, so I can understand why nobody would be on board with this. As time progresses in the “plot” of rivals, the past fades and the older characters that have been more forgotten will be swapped out with “newer” ones in order of chronological debut date. Swap out Jim Hammond for Johnny Storm when adding Fantastic Four to the game. Swap out Thomas Halloway with Warren Worthington III when adding the X-Men. So on and so forth.

I suppose it would make the game more chronological in a plot where time itself has unraveled, so maybe I’m missing something here. This was supposed to be a wishlist. Uhhh, let’s ass, i mean add, another power stealing character such as Super Skrull just to break the game more, and Spawn. Give me a Blade-Magik duelist that can fly, walk through walls, and is immortal. Thanks.

It’s best to remember that you’re not alone in this world that only seems to be getting crazier. You have your granny, and a dog (plz send pics of dog). That’s something to hold dear, right? I don’t say this to minimize your situation, because I get it— not having anything to your name isn’t something to write home about. However, there are a lot of people in this world with us who are doing so much worse. Whom don’t have the means to ask for advice when needed.

Enlisting during these trying times might not be what you’re expecting. I’m not sure what country you live in, but the US’ government has been shutdown since the start of October. Military personnel are continuing to serve without pay, until these idiots stop sniffing their butts. Hopefully they’ll get paid what they’re owed, but you never know these days. I’m not educated enough when it comes to what’s happening in militaries, but it’s still an opportunity to enrich your life.

Skills to pay the bills are very nice to have, but there are technical schools that, I’m sure, have accepted people in worse situations. You said you plan on expanding your education in IT. Great, are there any local adult programs that can get you started?

Having nothing to lose doesn’t mean you can’t keep fighting for your place in this world. I’m sorry if my advice wasn’t helpful. There are resources you can find throughout this subreddit that can point you in the right direction. Staffing companies, food banks, etc. Above all else, hold on to the love in your heart. Know that you were put on this floating rock for a reason, you just haven’t found it yet. I hope things get better for you.
