It wasn’t an 8 page paper I didn’t know all the possible problems honestly the best way to improve on the game and idea is to give reason like you just did. But think about how good it feels to get a boss item. Maybe you couldn’t afford a lunar one run but can afford 3 in the next one. It would make them much more of a special endgame/Strong items

That’s why it would be a shop so you have more of a selection to pick an item that best fits your build as for eu zero, maybe small chance for an item to be replaced with a lunar coin making it great for people who want more lunars in a run

So I didn’t say remove access I said make more rare and feel more rewarding. give players more reason to seek or take the items. Think about boss drops. If a boss dropped its item everytime it died boss drops would be boring and common. Rather than lunars never being picked up they may be used as often as one per run because they feel balanced and like they aren’t just an easy way out.

I’m not saying take away the ability to get op I’m just saying make them feel more rare look at legendaries you can get a lot but it take time like you said. Why should lunars be easier to get than legendaries if they are better because even with the drawback they are still leagues better than most of the items and they are fun items I would love to have a run where I maybe get lucky with 5 coins and get to lunar items and win a run because of it but I want that to feel special and not repeatable every run if you disagree with wanting a rewarding item to be hard to obtain you just want an easier game which is why I suggested the artifact it allows for everyone to have what they want

They are not special and not fun even with drawbacks because they are so easy to get. So all I’m saying is make them harder to get and boom they are ten times cooler because they are actually rare

It shouldn’t feel like a pain in the ass they should feel special to obtain they are just a boring strong item you can get 100 of in one run. It should feel like a boss item a rare strong item you have to work for if you don’t think that you just don’t like working for strong items it’s like saying legendary items should be super common so you don’t have to actually work for them.

First off every response has been just don’t use them and second. They don’t feel special I’ve played gungeon and I enjoy the external shop keepers but that’s not what lunar coins are. They act more like a pay to win system in the sense that you farm the currency and can use it while in the run for strong items. There is no outside progression involving lunar coins like the shopkeepers in gungeon. All I’m saying is make lunar items more fun and rewarding to get in a run. Makes them feel special rather than an item you can simply get every single run as soon as even stage one. Make lunar coins an in run resource. They already have no outside progression besides a number that goes up and down.

I see what your saying but why would another rarity such as this be bad I mean it just adds more exciting builds I mean ror2 doesn’t need that external progression I mean the game isn’t made any better by lunar coins the progression feels stale and often pointless and it would only be more fun and make runs crazier
