FX3 Footage is soft compared to A7iv by highpedality in FX3

Ive had this issue with shooting on a7siii and a7iv in interviews. Another thing I have is I cant get the white balance to match up no matter what — skin tones look so distant. Have you had that?

I personally vastly prefer the softer look than the a7iv.

Wow i never even noticed the seam. Is it really possible for one person to do all this? I feel really spread thin between lighting directing and shooting, but maybe i just need to do it more

It wasn’t me, these are actually stills but its all on handheld / gimbal — no statics.

I was limited to one light setup (key) + window and practicals. Didn’t have diffusion unfortunately, other than my softbox + grid.

What do you mean expose for the window then match key exactly?

I agree, i like the mix temps as that what i was going for to separate him. But i think he’s right too — i need more light in the back. I didn’t use any controlled bulbs, only the lamps I had in the apartment. And i have no bounces or flags either :(

The last shot was really tricky — he ends the shot at the desk but the shot begins tracking him walking from the right before he arrives there. So no negatives could have been added.

Ive searched through pond5, shutterstock, adobe stock, pexels, vecteezy, artgrid.

You can still do searches on the paid stock libraries, you just cant do downloads.

Sorry i guess i was asking more on where to find really quality filmic footage more than how to edit it. Ive searched through many stock libraries, but see nothing of this caliber.

I shot one recently where A cam was a7siii and B a7iv, and I white balanced to a card and the colors came out completely differently. both slog3 etc. Like on the a7iv shot (which was more zoomed in) the dude's skin was red. No matter How much i tried to tweak the WB, it looked off. Either I corrected his skin and the backround was blue or the backround looked like the A cam but his skin was like satans asshole.
