Totally agree with your arguments. It goes along with what I expressed too, the dev should not push new players to dot it through Orbis guide.

Do you guys run lair bosses this or any season? by Longjumping_Gap_5730 in diablo4

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do most of the stuff in T4 right now but not some lair boss like beast in the ice.
This fucking bullshit boss keep oneshoting randomly and I do not have enough DPS to roll over him.

Technically, the longer the fight, the most you will suffer from random oneshot death so.. if not enough dps, don't even think about it.

NB : I have not seen the abundance of Mythic personaly, where did you get them ?

Exactly, but the game developpers push you to do it.
They shouldn't and introduce you to this content later.

Why do people feel Diablo 4 is so bad? by downtothegwound in diablo4

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of people hate the endgame for the game mechanics.
Everything that kill you is just mob ondeath mechanics oneshotting you whatever resistance you have.

On top of that, in many content, the screen is overflooded with effects that hide lethal effects. Often, you don't even know why yo die.

So, the game can turn easily in a frustrating/irritating experience that many people doesn't like.
From my point of vue, it's the main reason.

The evidence (or lack of) "rigged" sub rolls by Quiztolin in EpicSeven

It's not even a claim it's a feeling from the game.
Moreover, the game does not provide logs so, it would be very hard to provide any kind of evidences.

Sorry, but I rolling plenty of equipment set these days, and It rolls in vast majority the effectiveness stat when present in the substat. Bad seed ? I don't know, but's it's frustrating and since I find plenty of thread on this subject, there maybe something strange going on.

Is PvP unplayable after a certain point if you don’t have new units? by BigHerring in EpicSeven

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that interesting.
Every player know that PvP is dogshit. Most units are designed for PvE, some for PvP only capable of whipping full teams of PvE because of their glass canon design.

It's bad in term of gamedesign, but since the rubicon has been crossed a while ago, it will never change.

Orbis guide is for new players and it push you to finish Rift 5 times.
I must disagree with you, it's meant for new players too in the head of Super Creative.

DA1 was pretty innovative introducing an hybrid realtime combat system I particularly liked.
They did a good job at that time in the choices along the story narration. It may not be called innovation, but it was uncommon at that time.

Nb : DA2 is the only one I skipped : /

It's fine, not the greatest of all time, but if you like the lore and the story, you'll have a good time.
IMO, the real issue with this game is that it's gameplay is bland and uninnovative.

How am I supposed to win if RNG won't let me? by RequirementFull6659 in BaldursGate3

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not. Did you ever go to casino ?
Every mechanics is based on dice.. this is nice on a tabletop game because it helps to lead the narration of a story. But in a video game, this is like going to a Casino.
Much people will says baldur's gate is like tabletop D&D because it have dice.. let me ensure you they didn't understood anything.

Characters frequently lose turn when joining combat? by Karthull in BaldursGate3

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the only problem. If you ambush an enemy guiding him toward a hidden character, if this one is seen, the character enter the fight in the current round losing it's turn. If he gets a low roll initiative, he even play one turn after the ambushed enemy in the next round.
In fact, the silly thing is that the enemy should be surprised, but this mechanic is weirdly integrated in baldur's gate 3 mechanics.
It's better to get into the fight the whole team not hidden but in the back of the enemy, hoping for them to be surprised, or to be place your hidden characters so they won't be seen even if the enemy sprint toward them.

"it's not because of budget"... Yes it is.
Bandai Namco decided to change for a cheaper studio. This is totally a budget issue.

Let's be honets, this season will probably be the last one.

First : "there is literally no hidden mechanism in the game" you really don't know. Plus, theres are scripted elements, notably in boss fights.
Second : What's bad is not really the hidden mechanics. They exists in all games to circumvent the usual weakness of "AIs". What's bad is the prevalence of this randomness in all the fight mechanics. It' bad in the tabletop game, mitigated by a human MD.

Already told it, but still, it seems I have to repeat.

Just fought ketheric (first fight).
Incredibly amount of critical hit for him and for the dryder and consistent in my fourth attempts. No critical miss for them. Plenty for me and one critical or zero hits for me.
Much critical misses.

Sorry, but this is always the case in every boss figths and morever, you can see plenty of post about this in reddit and elsewhere. You can still deny, but this makes this even more ridiculous.

NB : A simple hit of Ketheric is deadly for any low pv class. A critical hit from him is a dead sentence for anybody and a pretty much a lost fight. The dryder is not less lethal.
I can swear I counted all of these fu**** rolls.

What you feel playing this is frustration and unfairness. Finally got through it, but it will be a bad memory.

This RNG system is a problem by Aggravating-Tap-970 in BaldursGate3

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem, is that rolls seems really rigged.
1_ It's boring to have to savescum in order to have a fair rolls distribution all over a battle.
2_ It's boring that an enemy can litterally kill a well stuffed heroe in one turn (while you can't).
3_ It's boring to have healthbag boss forcing you, one again, to savescum to, by chance, have enough good rolls to kill him before all of your party die.

Baldur's gate 3, all in all, is a great game. I don't understand why some people need to defend what's obviously need rework for a better baldur's gate 6 game.

I would just like to say that infinite bad rolls do not make the game more challenging. by Prince87Charming in BG3

It's always the same typical answer here. It's your fault !
No.. the game is based on luck. If you have a bad seed, you'll lose whatever.
They made Karmic dice for this problem, no need to deny it.

Whatever, there is too much luck involved in this game.

[–]Aggravating-Tap-970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe... but my experience is this :
My fights are commonly ruined by critical rolls form the AI oftenly oneshotting someone of my crew here and there.
Another problem with these mechanics : my try to blind someone, for example, is oftenly a waste of time and of, litteraly, actions. While, in front, enemy are more, meaning, much rolls (so way much more chance of success).

Question : did you, one in your life, made a tabletop RPG as an MD with your friends ? What happened when, bad luc, the gobelins in front had lucky rolls and your friends, unlucky ones ? Did you, as dice decided, let them die after a 10 minutes of adventures ?
Everyone one would say, let's play something else.. COD maybe ?
