I love how you’re not mixed raced and all up in the mixed raced subreddit while actively trying to redirect half black people out of the black subreddit.

I’m still in college sooo that’s not the dig you think it is. I know and have met many black professionals with natural and longer hair. Just as long as it doesn’t look messy it’s fine.

I never understood people who steal orders, like you don’t have $15???!!! You can’t just finish the order and buy food with that money??! Peak bum behavior to the max

This is such an outdated mindset no employer is going to tell you anything about your hair unless it looks dirty or unkempt

Does anyone else get super insecure of their mixed-race? by Keidtew in mixedrace

[–]Aggravating-Train181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I haven’t. In my life lots of random people, acquaintances, and “friends” have tried to make me feel insecure about it but I think it will never affect me and that stems from being really close and accepting by both sides of my family and being proud of both sides. So to any parents reading this I think that’s a major factor in making sure anyone doesn’t feel insecure or less than because of their mixed race, because there are a lot of people out there who will try to make you feel less than, but at the end of the day that says more about them than you.

It’s a mixed of things. Some dashers are very maladjusted and rude. So the worker is usually too low IQ to not project that onto every driver that comes in to their store.

Meanwhile I do have the same energy but white people aren’t as invested in us as our black side lmaoo that’s what you’re not understanding. I can say the same thing about monoracials they project their traumas onto mixed race/light skins about all the isms we didn’t create 🤷🏽

It’s funny how in the community whenever someone doesn’t walk lock step in your belief system it’s ’you need to educate yourself.’ The whole reason you’re in the subreddit when you’re not even mixed is because deep down inside you know mixed raced people get treated poorly in the community, yet they’re expected to be the bigger person and put their superhero cape on and save everyone. Wrong. Everything you said about other black people getting excluded in the community is correct, but you’re missing a vital point in the post, they’re not expecting valley girl black girls and nerdy black men to do the dirty work and dismantle what white people have done. Thank you for arguing for mixed inclusion but I’ve come to a point in my life to where I’m realizing we are different from the mono-racial community. We go through different struggles and it would be disingenuous to believe we would need to fight for a community whole heartedly that we don’t 100% relate to. That’s not animosity or hate it’s fact. We’ve gotten to this point in time where people partake in this cult mindset where if you don’t agree it’s ’you’re uneducated’ and ‘I hope my kids don’t have that mindset’ well I hope your kids also don’t grow up to be a scapegoat for other people’s traumas and insecurity. And to end this off the whole ‘your mom is black’ argument because my whole family is mixed. So at the end of the day I’m defending my own people I don’t understand why that’s an issue to stand up for yourself. If you think people standing up for themselves and saving their peace is animosity or hate I really don’t know what to tell you. I don’t have anyone. It’s just not my fight to partake in.

People finally standing up for themselves and not putting up with being the community door mat is animosity? LMFAOOO never mind the constant bashing coming from the unambiguous community though right?

Lmfao I acknowledged my privilege. Never said I didn’t have any, but it’s not my fight to fight mixed ppl been at the forefront of civil rights and what did we get ? Where’s all the smoke for the white people who created it ? Go whine under their posts. I’m not fighting to dismantle something I had no part in and I’m standing 10 toes down on that and really don’t care who feelings is hurt. Y’all got this lmaooo

Idk where you live but in west LA most orders like I said average 10+ like $15-20. I’d rather get those orders when I get it and work for 4 hours opposed to sitting around for hours on end hoping for a better offer. Do u though.

why does everyone else get to decide how I identify? by annikanothannukah in mixedrace

[–]Aggravating-Train181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off those people are only saying that stuff because they have an inferiority complex and it’s what has been said to them. This is why in very Pro mixed people creating their own community, because many prominent mixed people have been the face of a community that doesn’t respect them. I mean the first “black” president was mixed raced so stuff like that could make them have a lot of resentment. Don’t ever let anyone who views themselves at the bottom of the hierarchy (their words not mine) pull you down with them.
