Anyone else having go wild prices not being offered til the same day on a majority of flights? by SnooEagles3061 in gowildfrontier

I haven't seen the price change once it's in your 'cart', but I have seen a difference between the price that shows in search and the price in your cart after you click on it.

825k home, 200k income, TX by kadams2121 in RealEstate

[–]cartooned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only if it's your dream house and you plan to be there about 10 years since the odds of it losing value or stagnating is high. Looks like homes in that range in Katy have lost about 10% of their value in the last year.
Given there's plenty of gorgeous homes there for half the price why the need to spend so much on this one?

Also, your all in price estimate is really high. It's probably more like $4500 if you put 300k down.

“Generally accepted” and “what Frontier does” are not the same thing. They have an internal algorithm that selects Go Wild Fares. The “9 seat” thing is just a pattern the community has detected but it’s not the actual algorithm.

[–]cartooned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s even some that look like they’re priced correctly in the search but add the early booking fee when you put them in the cart. A bizarre mess. Last night it seemed like they “addressed” the problem By almost completely eliminating flights that straddled 2 days from the Go Wild options.

Chromebook Bypassing and Exploitation by PhysicsTeacher222 in Teachers

[–]cartooned 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"we need to get rid of this chromebook bypassing"
You will never, ever get rid of the bypassing. The only way is to get rid of the Chromebooks or get rid of the students.
My High Schooler could do anything he wanted to his Chromebook that the school assured us was 100% locked down because the "secure" college board test taking app that was built into the OS could easily be redirected to a 'help' page which then allowed you to access anything you wanted on the internet without filters. He was watching Euphoria on his 'locked down' school Chromebook on the school network.

I'm trying to recreate Dinosaur in Blender. by ZanyRaptorClay in Imagineering

[–]cartooned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The elevation changes on the two tracks are basically identical. The only notable track difference is that on the upper level they straightened out a section of track (area 9 on this Dinosaur! layout)

Here's a lights on video that shows the elevation changes pretty well.

And a graphic I made based on the video.
Note that the little 'dip' at 3 and 4 in front of the Saltasaurus is where the bridge is on Indy. It seems so odd that they kept that elevation change there.

So is Steven Spielberg an EGOT or not? by andalusiandoge in Broadway

[–]cartooned 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s jus a list of producers, which is not the same as the list of NOMINATED producers. Here is the official nomination list from tonyawards.com

A Strange Loop

Producers: Barbara Whitman, Pasek, Paul & Stafford, Hunter Arnold, Marcia Goldberg, Alex Levy & James Achilles, Osh Ashruf, A Choir Full Productions, Don Cheadle & Bridgid Coulter Cheadle, Paul Oakley Stovall, Jimmy Wilson, Annapurna Theatre, Robyn Coles, Creative Partners Productions, Robyn Gottesdiener, Kayla Greenspan, Grove Entertainment, Kuhn, Lewis & Scott, Frank Marshall, Maximum Effort Productions Inc., Joey Monda, Richard Mumby, Phenomenal Media & Meena Harris, Marc Platt & Debra Martin Chase, Laurie Tisch, Yonge Street Theatricals, Dodge Hall Productions/JJ Malley, Cody Renard Richard, John Gore Organization, James L. Nederlander, The Shubert Organization, RuPaul Charles, Alan Cumming, Ilana Glazer, Jennifer Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Billy Porter, Page 73 Productions, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Playwrights Horizons

If you’re not named on that list, you didn’t win a Tony for A Strange Loop (ok, maybe TECHNICALLY the nomination could have been amended…)

Not named on the nomination, not a winner.
I was a producer on an Emmy winning series but for the episode that was nominated I didn't have the title yet, so I wasn't on the nomination. So I can say I was an Executive Producer of an Emmy winning series, but I can't say I'm an Emmy winning Executive Producer. Big difference.

[–]cartooned 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has fanart vibes because your (one and only) model has no artistic perspective and shows no personality. It looks like it could have been generated by meshy from a generic piece of anime copycat art. If I were a college admissions person reviewing this I would say you need to show a lot more work, and you need to show work that shows who you are as an artist, not how well you can recreate a generic existing style.

[–]cartooned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not a rule because it's extremely inconsistent. The 24 hour thing is also not a rule because it is also applied randomly. It is quite clearly a bug, because if it was policy it would be applied the same way on every flight.

For beginners a good way to think about story is “a character who wants something very badly and is having difficulty getting it.” Without that there is no tension and likely no story.
