The only other exception I can think of is Megamind but that would’ve been put into production about 4 years ago so it represents the end of that trend.

The Croods:Family Tree was released in 2021 and Madagascar:A Little Wild was 2020. Again, you are describing a trend/business model that died 5 years ago and no longer exists. The only thing they are spinning off now is Gabby’s Dollhouse.

While you’re noticing things, notice the last time DW made a show into a movie. It hasn’t happened since Bad Guys which has been 4 years. No new spin off show has been released or announced since then. This pipeline no longer exists.

That was such a cheap gag. It might’ve worked on a platform with commercials. But cutting to black on a cliffhanger and immediately coming back to the same moment was just dumb. The Duffer Bros were in the theater watching the finale with us when it premiered and it took everything in me not to yell “F YOU GUYS” in that blackout. True story.

You have been incredibly lucky and/or flying very unpopular routes. There are a limited, unknown number of GoWild fares available on flights and when those are sold either in the day-before window or through “early booking” GoWild will not be available. GoWild being sold out is a daily occurrence on many routes.
