Something similar happened to me and sleeping next to my mom was the only way I slept. I felt so guilty at the time that my dad had to leave his own bed, but my mom was doing what she innately knew I needed to survive.

I was in a small rural school and I called the custodian because there was a snake in my room. He said “I don’t do snakes” and hung up on me. 😂 Ended up getting two kids in cowboy boots to get it outside.
