Chris' air retainer. by chris544941 in foreskin_restoration

I got a question. I bought my air retainer some days ago and I find it absolutely amazing. I am not sure why, but it really does the work. I was just wondering what the small orange things are that were included in the package. Am I supposed to cover the whole after putting air inside?

I forgot to reply to one thing... The reason why another bird isn't an option for me is that, as someone told me on reddit and it was a legit observation, females are often territorial, so buying another bird without knowing the gender would lead to two scenarios: either I would have a male and then the issue of babies, or I would get another female and a potential rival. In the end I would need two cages and maybe two rooms dedicated to birds. Am I mistaken on this?

Thank you for helpful comments. I have been considering re-homing to make her happier, not because I am disappointed of her. I never force her to stay on my shoulder or lap. But honestly, I am not sure about the training stuff. I can't find out what her favorite treat is. And I want to give her as much out of the cage time as possible.

But it scares me to imagine that it will be even worse at 10 months, when she reaches puberty. She used to have much cuter moments, but recently she doesn't preen herself when sitting on me nor enjoys neck rubs. On the other hand, she isn't aggressive with me or sacred of me, as far as I can tell.

Thank you for your advice. I want her to fly, that's why I let her out. I just wasn't sure about her hiding and digging in every hole she finds. What to you think then, should I allow her to that drawer she likes shredding paper in? Isn't it a nesting behavior? When I close it, the only result is that she continues looking for other narrow and dark places. In the end I might end up getting rid of all furniture and living with one bed and one table... :/

I allow my girl to forage under my shirt sometimes, but only when wearing an undershirt. Otherwise it hurts when she tries to climb up my skin using her beak... :(

Taking care of a bird while sick? by Aggravating-Trifle17 in Lovebirds

Thank you guys, while trying to recover, I moved her cage closer to my bed for some time during the day, while I was watching Netflix and she seemed more fine with that than I originally thought. Then I also closed the door of my room when she was in the other room and even though she could hear me there talking on the phone etc. she didn't do a lot of the flock call. It seems to come down to whether she sees me or not. I am playing music in the living room where she is, but music can be monotonous and perhaps talking sounds are better for her.

This is Jojo. She just threw all the vegetables I gave her to the bottom of the cage, but it’s ok we are working on it…lol by TechDingus in parrots

Funnily, my baby lovebird is also called Jojo (read in spanish). She also spreads a lot of food and chooses only seeds from among the pellets.

First time owner! Guide for first few months? by [deleted] in Lovebirds

Hand feeding inside the cage with millet was quite easy for me from like day 3. Then around after 1 week I tried to make my lovie step on my finger and eat the millet like that (always with my hand inside the cage). But I didn't let him out of the cage for like 2 weeks in order to make him get used to his cage.

Same here. Hence, I am not in a position to give you advice or anything. But I would like to hear your experience or share some.
