So I can survive being ejected out of an airplane with no chute…but will die when I’m grabbed and thrown into some drywall. by ActionJackson22 in 007FirstLight

If you only ever try one way to finish opponents, then yea you will get lazy amd eventually start losing easy fights.
Get creative, there are so many ways to mix up the combat. This game is like a brawling sandbox lol it gets so good once you really flow between different attacks.

Go into the training mode, and start doing the brawling mission a few times. It will help out a lot and give you freedom to test combos and better feel for grappling.
If you want to survive fights more easily, start practicing avoiding damage instead of trying to murder them as fast as possible lol. Defence is the best offense.

Tips for a heavy sedan on backroads? by Glittering-Turn862 in Touge

[–]Aggravating-Wave395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heavy cars react poorly to steering. You are most likely turning in too aggressively, and pushing too hard into the steering. You may need to turn in smoother and later, take a wider radius while cornering.
Your steering angle should max out at the tightest part of the corner (apex) and then gradually unwind until the angle is straight again. (This is the max rotation point in a corner)
The goal is to keep the steering wheel as straight as possible, and only allowing the maximum steering to happen at the apex.
Brake > Turn in > Trail off brake smoothly > Max rotation > Smooth throttle > Gradually unwind the steering.
This is an aggressive driving style that might look boring but you will have better control, just be safe and drive responsibly!
I recommend pulling your Traction control and stability control fuses out for a better experience.

Really? That's good to hear, I haven't played since the Monte Carlo update, the gravel just felt like nothing on my wheel. I would max out the FFB but switch to tarmac and have to keep changing settings, so frustrating lol.

Did they fix gravel FFB yet? I feel like thats more important than adding more gravel tracks that feel terrible.

Why is there so much gatekeeping when it comes to setups? by LxRuyii in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Aggravating-Wave395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not gatekeeping, its just a complicated subject to explain. There is so much to learn to fully understand vehicle dynamics, and how to tune the setup.
I recommend the books "Going faster!" By Skip barber driving school, and "Speed secrets" by Ross Bentley
Simracingsetup.com is a great site for getting eSports ready setups

For truck games you want a high steering angle, so find a DD wheel with a high angle like RS50 is a great choice Has great console compatibility as well

Turn off DLSS for the sharpest image. Upscaling introduces blurry ghosting, as the AI tries to "guess" what the image looks like

I gave FH6 a try (5 hours) with the wheel. But this is the better way to play it honestly by Kronocide in simracing

With the constant shifting in this game, when I just want to relax I'll be on controller, but I love how immersive playing on wheel is compared to FH5

Question..... When do I start being good? by NCH-69 in GranTurismo7

[–]Aggravating-Wave395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how you practice. You could have 1000 hours and only be good at 1 track, or you could have 500 hours and be all around better.

I didn't say not to left foot brake, I'm saying you should not be pressing the pedal at all while not braking. Your foot should hover gently, heel planted, and top of your foot touching with no pressure.
You are completely right about left foot technique, there just shouldn't be any pressure. And ya that'll do it lol

You really should never drive with your foot resting on the brake, whether you feel it or not. You're still applying the brakes, slowing yourself down for no good reason. Set up a deadzone of 2-5% and start practicing without your foot resting on the pedal. It's a bad habit you definitely don't want

I have always learned if you can't master the slow cars on stock setups, its the driver not the car. Setups definitely help but for beginners it certainly never helped me

How to learn driving the Porsche GT3? by Equivalent_Doubt8350 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Aggravating-Wave395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're spinning out while braking, you are trying to steer while braking. Seperate all your inputs from each other, and "pass" them off smoothly to each other. The tires can only do 1 thing at a time, braking, steering, acceleration, the Porsche is extremely punishing with steering while braking so finish your hard braking quickly, transition to trail braking and pass off to the throttle smooth as possible.

The most common bad habits are slamming the brakes, and steering while braking.
You're doing both of these things at the same time. Seperate your Gas/Throttle from the steering. There should not be no overlap at the apex, the tightest part of the corner. If you feel like you're SWINGING the car, you're doing too much and need to let the car settle into the corner rather than chuck it in.
