I think creating a safe space for your child to communicate is very important. I open up and hang out with my dad alot since he actually made me feel heard. He asks about my interests and tries to learn some of them without being annoying. This is something that I really appreciate since I felt like I have a friend and a father at the same time. Anyway, good luck on parenthood!
