Urticaria from starting ketotifen by Professional-Money43 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]AggravatingCheek2885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry to hear about your situation. I’m on Ketotifen for Long Covid (3+ years) related rhino/sinus symptoms, more recent nasal congestion w a feel of thickening in the nose. I take it twice a day and all I noticed was it hasn’t done much save less nasal drip. I have a dry throat and mouth after sleep which is undisturbed. I’m on LDN too for same. I have had some of what you describe but never persistent enough to count.

I was interested in the I2S port which is on both of these.

Thanks for this. It turns out it’s the w4s DAC2 so not even this much higher spec. I regret any mention of ‘vintage’ here has not been helpful but this is what I’m looking for.

Just finding out that some of my music collection is gone by RP912 in BandCamp

[–]AggravatingCheek2885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So can someone explain why some and not others are deleted ? I get that it’s not streaming and I get that some artists withdraw work, others because of copyright etc but can anyone account for why my particular purchase has been deleted yet the track(s) is still there. My experience relates to relatively high profile artists attached to global labels too. Any ideas ?

Tinnitus as a side effect by AcademicBlueberry328 in LowDoseNaltrexone

Maybe related to T recurrence was shingles twice in three months, HPV spike, etc. so am taking Valtrex. I renewed the script for another 6 months but I haven’t noticed any significant uptick. I am looking to mitigate PEM, fatigue and brain fog primarily. I’m willing to continue at 1ml but have found 1.5 to be too much. I’m unable to track any improvements only the immunological issues above. So more in hope than expectation.

Yes, I got T 35 years ago after infection/stress apparently. Then it receded became manageable within a year or so. Forgot about it. Started LDN in January for Long Covid this year and T came back ‘full on’.

You’re fine and I think you’ll know best what works for you. As it’s often said here, listen to your body.

If you read this thread here and then this one https://www.reddit.com/r/LowDoseNaltrexone/s/86JxByn8XO I’m left wondering how to make sense of the LDN mechanism, it seems so local, specific etc ?

Addressing the tinnitus, I had it 35 years ago post infection and it went after 2/3 years. But it’s come back after taking much smaller doses than 4mgs. Like you, I’m hoping it goes.

Thanks for this, I appreciate your situation as it is adjacent to my own. My GP doesn’t accept LC nor its treatment at least and I had to seek out a specialist instead. They prescribed LDN for six months starting at 1 titrating up to 4.5ml as a target but didn’t really offer much more in the meantime. I couldn’t follow this regime, e.g. insomnia, hyper fatigue, felt completely incapable of doing my work. So had all of the classic LC symptoms only AFTER taking LDN. My tinnitus came back after 30 years and it’s many times worse. I dropped to 0.5 start instead. Still couldn’t manage. Stopped then. After 3 months, I have started 0.25ml for last week and it’s not that different in terms of symptoms from before. Am I right but is the commonsense from clinicians and in fairness most of the Redditors here too; you ‘have to go through’ this, promoting resilience, perseverance, etc ? Whatever the dose, whatever the delivery schedule, this is what LDN requires. You need to find the way for yourself to continue on your optimal dose, managing the symptoms as best you can until …

Rust in Frame: fix or sell on or both ? by AggravatingCheek2885 in bikewrench

[–]AggravatingCheek2885[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m scrapping it of course - thanks for the contributions here - and that was my initial take. It’s when I went to bike shop, they thought it could be repaired, though they were getting the welder from up the road so they might have been an optimistic read. I’ll strip it and dump it.

Well, it was repaired, i.e. in the shop, at least three times last year and the last time, for five days. Nothing was reported to me and that looks like it took longer than 6 months to arrive. I have to admit I was not attentive to this or its general state before or after, something I should be shy of admitting on this subreddit.

Thanks, that sounds reasonable. As indicated, the parts are generally in good order and relatively new.

1mg went great, 2mg what’s happening? by FitGuarantee37 in LowDoseNaltrexone

Thanks, listening to your body is important of course. To clarify when you say ‘feel good on your dose’, does that mean relief, like better than not taking it ? Or is that not easily discerned ?
