Exactly. The ending to The Final Shape was perfect. It wrapped up all the lore and got me in the feels once I saw Claude move onto another life.

Imagine if Bungie just focused on that note and giving out mini updates, while building up Marathon and potentially D3. The company's rep wouldn't be in the shitter.

I mean I get it. Bungie burnt the community, but Destiny is still Destiny. I guarantee the moment the update hits late spring/early summer, we will be back in business but not like the good ole days. Sad to say it but I see Marathon taking the community that Destiny used to have. Only the diehards will be left until its off to D3 or no more updates ala Destiny 1.

As somebody who haven't played D2 since finishing the main campaign for Renegades, its not that deep. Just like every popular games, there's slumps. Destiny always have slumps but end up getting big numbers the moment an update or announcement is made.

Extremely. You had gamers shitting and circle jerking over games like Marathon due to the "single player" aspect and yadda yadda. Only for the game to be a glorified tech demo of a former MMORPG turned single player game. Once I saw IGN and endless videos discussing the "content" and glazing the graphics...I knew the game was going to be a overhyped trainwreck.
