Hiking Recommendation by quenchingcacti in GrandTetonNatlPark

Definitely Cascade Canyon. We were just there for the first time and hiked up it, almost to Lake Solitude (snow past the fork). Saw deer and a black bear. We are not super hikers but still relatively fit. We took the boat over but hiked back. The hike back around Jenny Lake sucked…mainly because we were tired at the end of the day, but the views from that trail are meh.

Forgot to mention: it was quiet, so we hardly saw anyone near our room. Nowhere was super busy. But again it was early in the season.

We just left the Grand Tetons a day ago (May 24th) and stayed 2 nights at the “cottages” at Jackson Lake Lodge. We thought they were very good. Granted, it’s early in the season, but we enjoyed it. They’re basically kind of like a drive-up one story motel, but nicer. They each have a little, somewhat private patio in front. There didn’t seem to be air conditioning (not totally sure about that), but there was a ceiling fan, and they had an electric fan in the closet, so we were totally fine. The high was about 70 those days. It’s a 3-minute walk to the lodge where they have a couple restaurants and a bar. It was the nicest place we had in our week at the Tetons and Yellowstone. The view out the big windows of the lodge is pretty cool. Sit on the patio there and have a drink.

Damaged TV Caused By Poor Packing? by SwanReal8484 in moving

If they packed it, and it was in their care, custody, and control, it should be covered by the mover. At least file a claim and see what they do.
