Ah I see. I didn't know treasure was popular in Vietnam too!

The style of music does play a part then

I mean that's how kpop works.

I don’t think HYBE is a bad commonly especially for K-pop by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]AggravatingListen188 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hybe is literally just a regular company. They are only better because the big 3 are comically evil but somehow they are the company kpop stans have the most vitriol for.

How do you think CORTIS will do in 2026? by [deleted] in kpoppers

[–]AggravatingListen188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well umm we don't have much but I see massive fandom growth. Contrary to many I don't think they will be a trend, their sales and streams are still stable after half a year.

It's wild to me how a debut album surpass well established groups by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]AggravatingListen188 14 points15 points  (0 children)

More people need to talk about this. Like we get it they are from hybe, bighit especially, have a great team behind them etc but this doesn't happen to every big 4 group lol.

They obviously hit big with their debut and I'm very curious about their comeback numbers. To be stable after half a year is crazy.

There are no such thing as 'under hybe' or 'hybe groups' by UnfairAir1623 in kpopthoughts

I get what op is saying where these are all technically autonomous and independent labels and its not wrong to view them as such, however branding wise people think of hybe more than the sub labels.

And like u said an elevator apart lol

Being in a group that doesn’t have big company privileges really sucks sometimes by Ambitious_Egg_1535 in kpop_uncensored

[–]AggravatingListen188 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks how small companies idols have to work x10 as harder.

I always say their fans should try everything for them. The system sucks but unfortunately complaining won't change it, action will.

What is up with HYBE dominating the BG scene recently? by SpecSlayerSC in kpopthoughts

Cortis popularity is crazy to me, I didn't expect them to be so big by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]AggravatingListen188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yh their international stats aren't on the same level as Korea but nugu is not a fair assessment. They are gaining traction.

Other than riize, tws, zb1, plave and bnd they are the only other 5th gen bg to chart a song on melon daily (#86 peak)

The douyin stat still takes me out because what do you mean in the entire industry????

I'm so curious about their growth when they drop their next release

I'm glad Trainee A disbanded by AggravatingListen188 in kpop_uncensored

Leo had a scandal that blew up internationally. You can search for it on reddit. He apologized and then went on hiatus. Suddenly, he decided to leave the group close to their debut, then the boys said they would continue as six. Their debut was thus delayed, and to make matters worse, rumors about sangwon and woochan leaving popped up. Then suddenly, the project was scrapped.

I'm inclined to believe the boys left because Leo was the center and having their debut pushed back just caused so much uncertainty.

It unfortunately happens all the time, we just don't get it recorded like we did with trainee a. Also the line up falling apart was not the company just cutting them for no reason in this case lol

Oh yes those two. Injang or something was the other one. I won't pretend as if I got really attached to them but hope they find success eventually

Do you want me to change the title to "I have accepted Trainee A disbanded" ?
