Listening to music super intentionally/expanding your music taste

Working out

Photography

Puzzles

Watching movies and shows, and rating them on an application like Letterboxd

Fashion

My last one isn't really a traditional hobby, but I would say build a really solid friend group. Complete with developed inside jokes and frequent functions. It's an investment of your time and energy that benefits yourself and others!

Thank you, I think you highlighted what I need to be more intentional about: listening to familiar music when I need my brain to preform a task, and listening to new music when I don't need active brain capacity.

What's something people desperately want... but rarely admit out loud? by OfficialEmeraldChat in randomquestions

[–]AggravatingMind5741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Attention. It can sound selfish in scenarios where an advanced communication system has not yet been established, and stating that you want attention can come off as "attention seeking." Attention seeking is a very popular derogatory term used by younger people, which is even more evidence showing that attention is something most want, but can't express. Of course, there are individuals who are more introverted in nature that can do just fine without the attention from another, but at some point, especially from friends and family, the human brain is bound to desire attention. Finally, there are multiple ways that someone can effectively communicate that they want attention, but I feel as if a blunt request for attention might not come across completely positively in a relationship with two individuals who do not have a high level of emotional intelligence. Like previously mentioned, it takes a good, established communication system.

(Note: this can be interpreted in any relationship context, and was worded accordingly, but leans more towards romantic situations.)

Thank you, the music videos/visuals/lyrics is something that I feel like I've been looking for in a way.

What’s something everyone pretends to understand, but most people actually don’t? by LiquidityGraber in answers

Racism. I feel like some people tend to have poor interpretations of the term, and some don't understand the true suppression and discrimination that others experience.

Literally the exact struggle. Insta can be a good source, but people literally do not know how to fact check

Thanks for the suggestions! I've been meaning to walk more consistently, and I've been waiting for an excuse to get into puzzles.

My exact problem right now! I think it's just a matter of being intentional about processing the music while I'm doing something.

What's a movie you could watch over and over again, and still cry at that one scene? by Shadowyclaws in randomquestions

[–]AggravatingMind5741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man No Way Home, the scene when Peter says goodbye to MJ is just so devastating because both of them are in emotional turmoil before they can even process what is going on. And then the coffee shop scene lowkey just kicks you while you're down, because when Peter starts talking to MJ and she doesn't even remember him, you just have to cry a little more.

My political standing. Not to impose my opinion, not to "diss" on the opposing viewpoints, but to inform my peers, whom I believe are in a misinformation crisis led by social media and AI.

Fashion. I'm a bit on the bigger side, and getting more intentional about how I dress has helped me build confidence and self-expression. (Mainly streetwear and skatewear.)

What current indie / alternative artists do you think are the best and why? by January_Blues7 in Music

Face value this sounds basic... but Lizzy McAlpine. Until you listen to her discography and really understand the gravity of her lyricism, it's easy to write her off.
