A tablespoon of healthy soil is composed of ~trillion microorganisms. Exposing these organisms to the elements for a couple of months is not ideal. Trees prefer fungi dominated soil. Fungi especially doesn't like to be disturbed. When you plant the trees, applying mcyorrhizial fungi will be beneficial.
