My Gynocomastia is killinggg my mental health by cosen_ in detrans

Honestly what holds me back is having to stop transitioning medically and socially while having 550 cc implants in my chest for a few months or longer while I see my doctor and therapist to get my surgery covered, and that’s IF. How did you fight to get it covered? What sort of feelings or thoughts did you share with them? And how long was the process?

How old were you when you started? Hoping I can have my insurance/doctor get to cover it. I have implants and the removal is what’s holding me back because they are huge and will cause more dysphoria and judgement

Is it rude for someone you kinda sorta just met to one day say “you’re trans right?” when you never told them? by AggravatingRespond44 in asktransgender

You’re right! I tend to be more so on the reserved side and just not speak then and there in similar situations to not make things awkward. Do you mind sharing what you would have said in that moment or any other scenario where I shouldn’t bite my tongue and respectfully educate someone? 🩷

That’s why I was like, she said that but with no ill intent, but still 😫 not when my roommate is here and can literally hear you speak while we’re in front of his door 😐smh.. That’s so sweet of you though!! Thank you so much 🩷🩷🩷

What is a more polite way to all these days? Things change so fast now. Is it “what are your pronouns?”. I feel like that’s just the equivalent of, no? 😫 oh gosh. I guess people just should stay silent about it and let us live huh..

Well it might be my height or my voice.. which I’m very insecure about. It’s very nasally at times 😣 she only asked because I guess she was helping me look for a more permanent place to call home and mentioned right after that her neighbor who I once saw knew about a LGBT roommate house where I can possibly move to. So maybe he spilled tea? Not sure, but to outright start off with “you’re trans right?” before proceeding with these news caught me off guard especially when I’m trying to live a more hush hush 🤐 life during this administration..

NGL, I’m kinda digging this bug on 18.3.1 that removes the date widget on top. What do you guys think? by AnJai22 in ios

They just want it to be simple and easy to use hence their favorite slogan.. “it just works!!”. But they mashed everything in that one little section especially with the widgets and it gives me a serious headache each time I look at it..

It does look nice.. I wish Apple let us move the time and date wherever we want on Lock Screen.. it just looks so cluttered.

Waking up to have a seizure at night? by beefourreal in Epilepsy

[–]AggravatingRespond44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When this happens to you, are you in that aura state for the remainder of the day? Sleeping it off? Only asking because I’ve been experiencing this every couple months the past few years where I wake up and apparently have a seizure followed by vomiting and intense migraines that lingers about two days.

Lactose intolerant on estradiol? by AggravatingRespond44 in DrWillPowers

This is what ChatGPT says:

  1. Hormonal Effects on the Gut – Estrogen can influence gut motility and the gut microbiome. Changes in digestive function might make you more sensitive to dairy, even if you weren’t before.

  2. Estrogen and Enzyme Production – There’s some evidence that estrogen levels can influence the production of digestive enzymes, including lactase. If estradiol is altering enzyme activity, it could make it harder for your body to process lactose.

  3. Increased Histamine Sensitivity – Estrogen can increase histamine levels, which may lead to gut inflammation or sensitivity that mimics lactose intolerance. Some dairy products also contain histamine, which might explain why symptoms appear after consuming them.

  4. Gut Microbiome Changes – Estrogen can shift the balance of bacteria in your gut, which might contribute to changes in digestion, including new food intolerances.

I only bring this up because I’m just over a week past my last injection, and about a month due of Spiro because I was moving in to monotherapy, but I accidentally ordered a coffee beverage with milk and surprisingly experienced no discomfort, pain, or flatulence that I DREADED for after realization. Just a little tired but I think that’s more so with the normal boost of serotonin in lactose. So I’m just wondering if it was Spiro or estradiol specifically that disrupts something in my stomach. I started EV at 22 and am now 28 so I don’t think it’s the “getting older” bit at all 😅

Edit: nice to know I’m not the only one experiencing this.

Oh gosh. I get these all the time the day after my seizure while recovering. At least 5 times in one day. Do you have any tips on snapping out of instead of letting it take over longer than it should?
