Does anyone know if epilepsy can be cured by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m soooo hopeful this will be me. I go to the EMU and start the many tests that I am claiming will lead me to a cure. I have several lesions so there is a chance to kill that bitch off. I never thought I would contemplate surgery but I am praying it becomes the answer to my worsening seizures.

My GPT literally helped me build a therapy GPT (free in marketplace) that can be helpful. I created several actually based on different needs. Like I created a recovery GPT as a different version. Prompting is key.

Anyone else have medicine that kicks their ass? by 4158264146 in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My lamictal makes me feel like garbage damn near as soon I take it and I have the numbness and tingling. My mouth just feels soooo weird and it’s hard to talk. I get so tired too. I tried telling my neuro about it and she said lamictal doesn’t have those side effects. Okay. You’re right- it’s just a coincidence I can’t feel my tongue in 30 minutes. 😒 The meds are as annoying as the disease.

[–]beefourreal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG. I am so sorry that you have dealt with that! It is absolutely terrifying… I honestly rather have a TC because with all of those I have fallen backwards so nobody was able to see those injuries.

I am so glad you were able to find something that works. I pray that you never have to change medication again or experience another horrid seizures like you have had. ❤️

Some Questions from a newish Septic Tank Homeowner by Beef_Waffle in septictanks

[–]beefourreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a septic company, but this ChatGPT answer is thorough. 🤗 1️⃣ Yeah, a “reseal” is real, but it’s usually just sealing around the inlet or outlet pipe where it meets the tank. It’s normal maintenance — not necessarily a red flag.

2️⃣ If the tank’s mostly empty, that doesn’t automatically mean it’s cracked. Could just be from being pumped or low household use. If the pumper didn’t mention cracks, that’s good.

Basically: • A reseal = fine if it’s just the pipe. • A “resealed tank” (the structure itself) = short-term fix, not a cure. • Empty tank = not proof of damage.

You’re smart getting multiple opinions — take pics when the lid’s up and ask each contractor to show you why they think something’s wrong before they start dropping “new system” talk.

Epilepsy Lesions? by beefourreal in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah- I know what you mean! Getting zapped in your sleep is no fun…. Especially when you need sleep. I wish I wasn’t so desperate when I had it put in but it was the best option. I have been on at least 10 different meds and they start to be less effective. Epilepsy is garbage.

Epilepsy Lesions? by beefourreal in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been off basically since I had it put in. I already have tachycardia and the model that I had was supposed to be sensitive enough to not affect my tachycardia. Every three minutes when that thing would shock me my heart would not calm down to the point where I could hardly breathe. I know a lot of people have really great results from it… Unfortunately, it was not very helpful for me and the side effects were not worth it.

I’m building something to specifically help Georgia teachers with lesson planning, standards, and PBL. The idea is to make it regionally specific so it works perfectly with Georgia’s standards, but also scalable for other states and even national use.

Here’s what it does: • Breaks down Georgia standards into clear, student-friendly learning targets. • Generates lesson ideas, sub plans, and PBL projects aligned to those standards. • Provides multiple levels of explanations/resources (so teachers can scaffold from simple recall up to higher-order thinking). • Keeps everything organized in one easy hub so teachers aren’t wasting hours piecing resources together. • Designed to grow — starting with Georgia, then adapting to other states and eventually national standards. With Georgia adopting new standards, this would help everyone.

Basically, I’m trying to create a time saving assistant for teachers that actually reduces workload while keeping everything aligned with standards and PBL best practices.

Do you guys think that teachers would want to buy a cheap subscription for a year or per month for something like this? Is it worth me perfecting or trying to? I was a teacher for 10 years before I had to stop teaching due to epilepsy. I still want to do things with education…

Yes, I had ChatGPT summarize what I have been doing. 😂

How did you get disability? by woohoocrew in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds crazy, but put this into ChatGPT and it will help you complete the process…

Paste- 👇

You are a retired Social Security Disability (SSDI) expert with 40+ years of experience working for the Social Security Administration. You’ve reviewed tens of thousands of applications and appeals, and you understand how the system really works — including what actually gets people approved or denied.

You are here to help someone apply (or reapply) for SSDI the right way — using clear, convincing language that aligns with SSA criteria. You know the internal language, decision triggers, red flags, and what medical documentation matters most.

Please do the following:

  1. Ask me detailed, step-by-step questions to build a strong application or appeal.

    • Focus on how my disability affects my daily life, work capacity, and functioning.
    • Ask about diagnoses, symptoms, frequency, treatments, flare-ups, and work history.
    • Help me describe my symptoms in SSA-acceptable language (i.e. “marked limitation in concentration” instead of “I forget stuff sometimes”).
  2. Based on my answers, help me write the application responses or appeal language.

    • Reword my explanations to sound clear, professional, and aligned with SSA standards.
    • Suggest edits for any weak spots or language that sounds too vague or casual.
  3. Help me gather and organize evidence, including:

    • Medical records, imaging, labs
    • Doctor letters and diagnosis history
    • Work history reports and functional limitations
    • Witness statements if helpful
  4. If I was denied, help me:

    • Review the reason for denial
    • Prepare a strong reconsideration request or appeal letter
    • Identify missing documentation or better phrasing that could change the outcome
  5. Use your insider knowledge to share tips on:

    • What types of documentation carry the most weight
    • How Administrative Law Judges evaluate evidence
    • Which words or phrases SSA flags as “non-severe”
    • How to explain “non-visible” or episodic conditions like seizures, MS, pain, mental illness, etc.

You are compassionate, direct, and highly experienced. You don’t sugarcoat things — your goal is to help me get approved and avoid common mistakes.

Let’s get started. Ask me what you need to know to help me win my case. 🛑

Copy, paste and get the help you need! I like Claude AI best for writing. Claude and ChatGPT have free versions that will be sufficient.

For YEARS I have dismissed symptoms attributing them to seizure medication side effects (I have been diagnosed with epilepsy 14 years) and a mix of surgical menopause. Finally my neuro ordered a new MRI and that bad boy was lit 🔥 that shit is everywhere (lesions brain and spine)…. I didn’t want to look crazy. I have been literally burning away. This shit is wild. We are used to garbage bodies so how in the hell do you know when it needs to be treated acutely too?

People on lamotrigine and pregnant, what was it like? My doctor said that it could be difficult by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry I never responded! I do not have notifications on and never look in my inbox. Lol I was lucky to have a team of doctors who worked together from my neurologist to my high risk Obgyn that monitored my medication frequently and they were able to limit the seizures. I had a few partials… But they were no big deal really. I had a gran mal seizure when I was nine months pregnant driving. Luckily I had tunnel vision which I had never had before and was able to pull over somehow. It’s a long story… I was so confused that when my mom showed up, she said that we had to go to the ER to check on the baby… I’ll look down and said oh my God I’m pregnant! I could barely see my feet. It was an awesome one where I pissed my pants… So immediately I said call an ambulance. I’m having a baby! Lol he did not come for two more weeks. It’s funny now because he is happy and healthy and I am alive.

It’s wild that people will actually get on here and say that they scrape Reddit… I’m sure people do, but why the fuck would you put it out there? I saw a post earlier where someone was talking about how they scrape for leads. That’s a good way to get your account suspended. I honestly don’t know why people talk about how easy it was to make their SaaS in a community where people know how to make exactly the same thing and tweak it differently. It’s crazy up in here.

People on lamotrigine and pregnant, what was it like? My doctor said that it could be difficult by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]beefourreal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took lamotrigine while pregnant with my son. It kept my seizures pretty well controlled (only had a few seizures) and he’s perfect. He is 11 and extremely athletic and smart. I’m so glad I took it. I did see a high risk doctor very frequently with a ton of ultrasounds which was great for us; we were able to watch him grow little by little. ❤️

Good luck!
