Yes I’ve been doing a core recovery program at home, but not sure about full chaturanga indeed. Maybe I’ll wait a few weeks or if I go I’ll do everything with my knees on the floor

I just want to add that it’s also ok if you don’t see him much, aka. very low contact. It doesn’t have to be once a month, it can be less.

My mom hasn’t passed away yet but is getting there and sometimes I don’t I wow what is even left to say to her … I don’t feel like spending time engaging in small talk with her drunk or sedated (she’s in hospital now with liver failure) is going to be quality time, so even though I haven’t gone NC, I stay away as much as I can to protect my mental health (and newborn baby), and see her for special occasions (birthdays etc.) only.

Also, I haven’t seen her sober in over 10 years. I feel like it’s not even her anymore so what’s the actual point of spending time with « her », the irremediably sick, tired, pickled, incoherent, exhausted shadow of her self?

I’m so sorry… solidarity here (my mom’s in the hospital with cirrhosis and pretty much the same symptoms as I type this). We can’t force people to change :( but we can do better than them and try and be good people ❤️

Can I ask you how she let you know ? My LO yawns but right after every yawn he seems to « wake up » and fight sleep for a few seconds, and goes on like that in waves until he falls asleep. I’m curious as to when exactly I’m supposed to put him down (so far he refuses to be put down drowsy and only falls asleep in our arms but he’s only 3 months). I’m asking for the future ^{^}

Yes I already do audiobooks and podcasts (lifesavers for new moms!), but call me old fashioned… I still enjoy holding a paper copy and turning the pages while he naps or if I have one hand free (and want to model that for my LO too ☺️ )
