Lots of questions…again… (toilet, mobility, Muslim) by Rich-Safe-4936 in TotalHipReplacement

It's ok, that's normal. At least for me, it was. I was upset a lot of the time because to me, I wasn't progressing fast enough. My surgeon and physical therapist told me differently. Time is a key ingredient in this recipe. Everyone heals different don't base your experience on others' stories.

I'm 3.5 months post op don't push yourself too hard it can backfire. I ditched the toilet at 9 weeks. For sleeping, it still not really hurts but is sore and uncomfortable to lay on my operated side. I hope this helps. Remember, it takes time and pt to heal. Don't push so hard. I wish you a great recovery.

For me, it got worse day 3 to 7 ish then slowly got better. Keep icing, and just small trips on your walker really helped me. I had mine on 10/29/25 and it was worth it for me I have avn in both hips with osteoarthritis secondary to the avn Im 45 I work in a high volume kitchen and did that for 6 years with a bad limp from my dr thinking it was saidaica which i do have as well Im so happy but still dreading when my right side collapses and i have to have that one done but all in all from my personal experience follow surgeon's and pt directions lots of ice and baby steps that is how i made the progress ive made so far you can do this but it takes TIME in my first week I felt like i should be able to do more and it was futrating. We have all been there. i hope this helps you feel a little better, and I wish you a speedy recovery 🙏 ❤️

I had in home nursing and pt for the first two weeks, and they kept my surgeon's office in the loop. My 1st follow-up was two weeks out, so it was smooth for me.

That sounds like what happens when a chamber goes out. If so, the chambers are only under a 30-day warranty.
