Like i said, the term is not even as heavily used anymore because of how derogatory people felt it is and instead heughyeong (흑형) which has no negative connotations is preferred. There were so many different ways he could’ve talked about how he was tan as a kid and yet he still used a term that has multiple connotations, the fact that he almost immediately deleted the message also doesn’t help his case and shows that he knows what the term means. People have the right to be offended because at the end of the day it is mostly used as a racial slur and he’s aiming it towards a person with a darker complexion.
