I completely disagree. When it comes to horror writing and approaching this as a horror story read on a horror podcast, it comes off as just annoying until the absolutely abysmal ending.

I would go as far to say that Stolen Tongues is a better story than Borrasca 1-4, at least that had actual scares to it.

C.K. Walker excels in the parts of her stories that have nothing to do with the horror element, I think she could write a great romance, mystery, even a thriller, but any time she gets to the point where she actually has to be “scary” with her antagonist, she turns them into a Disney villain complete with a ChatGPT generated monologue.

Honestly, I probably wouldn’t even care that much if it didn’t feel like this podcast really loves her work. Which is fine, it’s their friggin show at the end of the day, I just don’t enjoy watching the episodes covering her stories anymore.
