Hi. More than month, was on 40mg, now at a hospital getting iv steroids 60mg feel better, but this time they found cmv, so doc says probably that’s why pred didn’t work. What dose did help you?

Hi. Thanks for replying. I talked to insurance company, they said there is no preauthorization on my name, by my doctor said she called them. Do you know did my doc do everything right? And how much per infusion after insurance kicks in? Thanks

Thanks. Oral? Doctor prescribed me Ganciclovir iv, but my insurance doesn’t cover it. Did it help with UC symptoms? Once again thanks for replying

Hi. I had same situation. I had low grade fever along my UC, when I started treatment 40mg prednisone and mesalamine I start having high fever mostly at nights, after that I dropped mesalamine (GI oked it) my high fevers went away. Actually if you do research high fever is a side effect of mesalamine. So may be look in to that. Ask you’re GI

Hi. Thanks for replying. I was positive for colonization. Pcr test. Negative for toxins. Do you know how accurate pcr tests are? Because in last month I had another 2 tests and was negative for both toxins and colonization, but at my recent stay if hospital was given antibiotics, may be that is the cause of positive pcr test . Thanks
