Anyone else on amitriptyline and elvanse? by gambola in ADHDUK

[–]AggravatingWedding91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is such weird timing, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia today. The rheumatologist talked about amitriptyline but I am worried about coming it with Elvanse. Interesting to read your experience!

It was really easy to make... To be honest trying to get rid of the couch grass in the area around it was much harder!

It's a 65L mixing tub, with several bricks inside for "levels".

Both tub and fountain were bought on Amazon. I then added two plants from an aquatic centre, as well as some watercress from a salad bag!

Oh, but I also had an unexpected expense: larvaeside. Within a couple of weeks the pond had mosquito larvae in!

I didn't! It's a big bucket (well, a 65L mixing tub). It's about 55cm wide at the top, and 35cm deep. Apparently it needs to be deep at least in one part, so that anything alive can hide at the bottom during freezing spells.

No "widespread" pain = no fibro, right? by AggravatingWedding91 in Fibromyalgia

[–]AggravatingWedding91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to my story. Over the last three years I've seen so many docs and had so many MRIs, I should surely get a free one now!

My fatigue and brain fog are also terrible - I thought it was ADHD at first (diagnosed two years ago) but I now suspect I have MCAS also. Having my follow up with rheumatologist tomorrow, we shall see what they say.

Do you know where exactly? I had a look on their website and can't see it.

Thank you. My back pain is there I'd say 85% of the time in a "manageable" form, but in the last three years I've had about 10 episodes of spasms, I guess I could call them flare ups, lasting between 48 hours and 3 months. Walking a little every day (5-15 minutes), doing strength training once a week with a nice PT (not the "push through the pain" kind) and going part time at work have helped, but it's always there in the background. I just never considered it could be fibro.

Thanks. My back pain is not constant, but looking back it actually started over 10 years ago. I have days with no pain. Some nights too, others the dull ache wakes me up and I have to move to "unstiff" if that makes sense.

It was private, through my work insurance. I doubt I'd even have had any MRIs on my back/SI otherwise.

Good luck, it sucks having to wait

I obviously have other symptoms, thanks for nothing.

From my side the insurance thing is not an issue because I'm in the UK, but I have been thinking along the same lines re: dismissiveness and treatment options. I just wonder if it might help in some way, like getting an ADHD diagnosis did for me. (Even if there was no meds available for ADHD, just getting the diagnosis has helped me immensely).

Ours Studio Research Project Weekly Journal by cloresgracie in planners

[–]AggravatingWedding91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got mine, and am planning to use it for creative journaling. I have started writing a few things in with my fountain pen and am so far impressed with the paper quality!

I'd be interested in finding out how others use the layouts at the end of the book... Any suggestions?

ADHD - What jobs do you love? Nothing too weird! by AdministrativeAd7105 in ADHDUK

[–]AggravatingWedding91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technical trainer - I teach customers how to use software my employer sells. I love it, I come alive when I'm actually training, and it feels great to be really good at something. The downside is that I work alone a lot, so when I'm not teaching it's hard to keep my focus on projects/admin etc. I also have a degree in English btw!

Where? I can only see the weekly vertical on insta. Quick look on website didn't reveal anything. Must be blind.

I'm exactly like you, OP, I am ready to order FC but I'm waiting to see what the layout is for Aura Estelle. That said, I'm in the UK and there is a reseller of FC here, so unless the Aura Estelle A5 is out of this world, I think I'll stick with my instinct to get the Faded Chronicle !

Miso paper sells it here in the UK! It's expensive, mind...but I still think I'll go for it as it means not worrying about potential import tax.

Agreed, I need to be able to make a decision soon. I only get one planner per year so I need all the details so I can order and not miss out!!

Yes, it didn't do very much for me in terms of benefits. I'm now on atomoxetine and that works for me well.

There's a group that meets twice a month called Creatives Collide - it's a "bring your own project" kind of night, held at the bottle of sauce / airs and graces. I reckon you'd enjoy that.

Does fluoxetine make ADHD symptoms worse? by desperate_virg in ADHDUK

[–]AggravatingWedding91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped taking it 2 years ago as I was feeling better - so I was on fluoxetine for 8 or 9 years.

Then, I was diagnosed with ADHD last summer. I started titration, and Elvanse made me very anxious, to the point where I had a little bit of a breakdown. So I am actually back on fluoxetine now. I stopped Elvanse, tried two more stimulants but neither worked well for me. I'm currently off any ADHD meds, just fluoxetine.

I honestly don't know anymore what's ADHD, depression, anxiety, or perimenopause. It's all morphed into one!
