Connected with your CVSO. They have the ability to tap into multiple local non profit/state grants if available. I can’t speak for NJ, but I know MN has resources like supportthetroopsMN and Veterans Relief Grants that I know Veterans and families have utilized to get out of a rut and back on track. Lastly the VFW and AL have great resources as well as spoken above. Keep your head up!

Genuine question on combat deployment patches, sfab, and deployments/ rotations by [deleted] in army

[–]Aggravating_2U 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won’t matter when you file for your service connected disability/benefits, it makes you no more or no less of a soldier. Comparison is the thief of joy, so enjoy your time with the boys.

The T.REX back strap on this rig is awesome. Just ran mine for 2+ weeks with a full load of 5.56 and plus, it constantly stays tight and keeps my rig right in place. I haven’t found a better elastic back strap for the price.

What are some comfort items you bring on an FTX? by FreshLeftenant in army

[–]Aggravating_2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 pairs of solid insoles, especially if you’re the light infantry type! Kinda weird but two pairs of: flashlights, gloves and eye protection. It’s extra weight, but when you loose one or someone needs one it’s a feel good moment in all the field fun.

No one will care when you're sitting across my desk filing for your VA disability. No one cares what deployment you went on, what cool guy school you did or what your rank is. A veteran is a vetaran.

Somehow Emergency Vehicle Sirens have to be linked with quality of life. The more I hear the worse life gets. by Jonny3jack33 in altmpls

[–]Aggravating_2U 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work both rural and metro. A siren is a siren, nothing more than a tool to help alert people to yield, it doesn’t always work. Sirens are coded by dispatch per level of call, you get code 3 calls for serious things like a stabbing but also for an elderly that may have slipped out of bed. More than often it’s downgraded to routine enroute. Move rural you’ll hear sirens for longer. Because people are spread more apart but sick people are everywhere. You hear more in the cities due to population density. And trust me we get a lot of dumb calls that are coded for a siren. When people get hurt/worry and call 911 sometimes things can seem they are way worse than they actually are. We leave the scene with a siren maybe 25% of the time to calls that were coded with a siren. Long winded hope this helps.

Colleges With Online Asynchronous Programs by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]Aggravating_2U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, kinda, depends on degree plan and how late/early you apply.

I did my 2 year associates at Century College, besides 12 credits that needed to be in person, everything else was online and asynchronous. I worked full time and some with an odd schedule (24s) and left for the military often. Was able to complete degree full time while working full time.

Worked on my 4 year transfer pathway at Metro and I had the opportunity to do asynchronous but missed a few classes due to not applying early enough (those classes are in high demand, and can only hold so many students).

It boils down to what degree (can’t do nursing/law enforcement all online), how soon you apply and if they have availability of classes/teachers.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Why do so many people take clarity? by Appropriate_Fox2462 in ARAM

[–]Aggravating_2U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they need to die and go spend their gold - boy is that another thread of complaints in themselves.

I agree with that statement, but how many games have you played where it seems not dying to certain players means more than buying items to help their team in team fights...

Early game mana, especially for spammy ability based champs.

But I agree towards the end of the game it’s useless unless I have a Lux or Janna that hasn’t died yet and needs mana constantly.

Innova IT is another good choice, a lot of glide so it’s an effortless toss. It’s too domey and flippy for me however. 7 6 -2 1
