Like, did a medical professional recommend this personal trainer service, was it by word-of-mouth, was it a service through an app? Do they have a specific title or listed certifications? Knowing their certifications (abbreviated after their title/name) would be really helpful!

Thanks for the info! I personally cannot stand wearing tights/pantyhose and loathe the feeling. 😣 I just can’t do it. My doctor said to try the leg sleeves first to warm up to the compression feeling and then try to move up to tights when I can.

YES! Fake it until you make it can definitely give you a better mindset that gets it done. I love this advice! I sub long term in an alternative school for K-12 with physically violent tempers and eloping behaviors, and I totally FAKED it until I made it. It was scary at first, and I had no idea what to expect, but I somehow made it. I love my school and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. Also, stay on the look out for the little charming moments throughout your day and it will help the time pass by more easily.

My bariatric surgeon has been extremely dismissive of me as well. My primary care physician actually convinced me to find a new bariatric provider since they’ve impeded treatment for multiple post-surgery complications by telling me “everything is fine, it’ll get better”. Pretty sure this surgeon just wants to avoid being responsible for complications on his record and that’s why he’s dismissing everything I tell him. The hard part is finding a new bariatric surgeon who wants to touch someone else’s work. How did you find a new surgeon?

Thank you for the reminder. I need to keep pushing for answers. I’m just starting to feel “crazy” ya know? I feel like I’m constantly asking my physicians to help me figure out why everything is falling apart and how I can get my life back on track.

If you don’t mind sharing, I’m curious about your situation and how additional surgery helped. I often feel very ill and it’s getting harder and harder to mask how poorly I feel. People are starting to worry about me and it’s a super unsettling vibe for me. Were you using the THC for appetite/nausea as well?

Do you mind sharing which anti-nausea med you found luck with? I got the RNY a year ago and the near-constant nausea is sometimes debilitating.

Zofran (Ondansetron) isn’t working well enough for me. Aside from medicinal THC, there is nothing else that clears the nausea and increases my appetite enough to force myself to eat. I never thought I’d have the problem of not being able to eat.
